not sure if you understood leaford. all he is saying is he wonders if rinsing it out with tap-water played a factor as he didnt do that himself. i am wondering though if the vinegar you used played a bigger factor as the others didnt use vinegar in their baths...could you tell me what POS stands for?

No, I'm saying just rinsing it out with tap water seems to me to work as well as anything else.

Default Cleaning with Polident

I really think the little battery operated denture/retainer cleaner I bought at Drug Mart worked better than just rinsing with water. I also used those Polident fizzy tablets with it. I bought the kind for "cleaning tough stains and metal parts). Maybe it's all in my head , but there's just something about fizzing and ultrasonic cleaning that makes me feel like I'm really doing a good cleaning job. BTW I let the little machine run for 10 minutes.

Hi Janet

I'm still trying various cleaning solutions with my u-sonic cleaner. No luck yet but I feel like a mad scientist...

emp have you tried the vinegar solution in an ultrasonic cleaner yet. im thinkin of pickin one up tomorrow on the advice here and on the other forum. im hopin to get my atts pristine. im really missing the easy draw and large amount of vapour you get with a new one. i have 4 for over a month all working but half-arsedly. knutselspeter recons he can get his like new like new just by rinsing and bathing a couple of times in warm water over on the US forum

there is also someone over on another thread reccomending plugging the hole in the battery-end of the atmzr with a pencil-rubber, filling it with water and blowing it out so it is forced through the tiny hole/s at the battery end. i hadnt noticed this hole until now.

Hi dc2k08

I'm having real trouble getting my hands on white vinegar (none in the walking distance stores and I can't drive at the moment) but it's on my list. I'll update when I do get some (got high hopes for it)

Emp

Some healthfood shops have it, our local tescos have it marked "distiled vinegar".
Has anyone tryed rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcahol? Iv'e got loads of that it cleans well and evaporates in no time at all
