Over 3 weeks no burning observed or bad burnt taste noted.

7 or more rinses on same cart PTB filler.

More great refills and top ups than I could keep track of.

Draw, Hit, Vapor, Flavor all still great.

Still find PTBs an acceptable risk for me.

(I'm changing this carts PTB now... not because I have to, but just because I want to.)

My trial is over as far as I can see, yours may just be beginning, but I'll always keep an eye on this thread.

    Thanks Guys!

Ok, decided to give this another go! All of you success stories are posing a challenge to me not to give up

I *think* that I have figured out the problem. It's me. I've been putting too much liquid in the cart with the PTB filler (suprise suprise). Also...I've been trying to power vape on my Janty Stick, so I've changed my methods a bit in hopes that a) I won't flood my atomizer out, b) I'll be able to keep the PTB from prematurely drying out, in hopes that c) I'll eventually dry out the PTB, or at least, come closer than I have with other fillers.

So, a couple of adjustments. I took 1 PTB, rolled it tightly to start, then looser as I roll, fold directly in half, then place the filler in the 801 cart, with the "carpet rolls" on the buldging portions of the 801 cart, and the fold is somewhere down near the resevoir at the bottom (not sure if it's tucked down in there or not, I suspect it's not, but I cant tell). Obviously with a full PTB, it's sticking out of the top of my cart, so I pull it about 1mm out of the cart and trim it flush with the top of the cart with scissors, then press the PTB filler back down into cart.

I put 4 drops in to start, rotating one drop into each of the "carpet rolls". I then tilt the cart upside down to look for excess fluid. I do this over and over until I get to 16 drops, then put 2 more drops in to see if I get any leakage, and it seems at about 18 drops, it's starting to flow from the cart. So, it seems I can get about 16 drops in.

Now, another change that I've made is, instead of power hitting my Janty Stick, I'll press the switch, pull the vapors into my cheeks for 5 seconds, release the button, then inhale the vapor. If I want a bigger hit of vapor, I do this a second time.

My old method was just to redline until I get blinks (yeah, I know, I used to drive a WRX, what can I say, it's fun to push the limits!). Not only was I drying out the top of the atomizer prematurely, but I was likely also flooding the bottom of the atomizer as well.

I've been trying to give each thing at least a full day, if not more, before I give in, but this may just be it. Will post back tomorrow, but this may be the solution to the 801 dilema. Combination of filler type, PV draw method, and number of drops to fill the cart.

OK So I finally bout some PTB and started fiddling around with it. I felt that originally, I would get good vape and flavor, but my drops would only last like 5 vapes... This is a mixture of me vaping it too hard and a lot of liquid staying towards the bottom of the PTB cart, as opposed to making contact or being near the top.

So In order to retain liquid at the top, why not just put a little bit of polyfil in between the PTB Glossamer while you are rolling it. Just follow the picture:

    A) Shows the PTB like it would be normally, then put a tiny piece of polyfil towards the left and a little above center. Then wrap/roll the nylon as you would normally, making sure to get the polyfil in the roll. Then just follow the same procedure.

    B) Shows a folded PTB ready to be inserted in cart. Just insert cart, optimize size and puff away. I have yet to try it out, just another concept.

I WOULD think that the polyfil towards the top would hold a lot of liquid and at the same time, never really make contact with the atomizer, thus no burning!

What are UK people using instead of Lipton pyramid bags? If you can get them in this country please let me know where. I did a bit of Googling and figured that as Lipton and PG Tips are both Unilever brands PG Pyramid bags should be the same. Watching the Lipton video though it would appear to be a completely different material, translucent and fine whereas the PG material is much more like a normal teabag.

I tried out the PG Tips bags (carpet rolled, no fold, probably used about 3/5ths of the bag before cutting it off) and it would only take about 10 drops and vapour production is far less than the polyfill that came with my 510 carts. Any Brits have suggestions?

    Tesco

I've got them there, and I know of one other person who has.

And yes, they're totally different to PG paper bags.

I learn so much everyday from all of you.
I would like to second that motion. Being that I really like using the pyramid tea bags.

Pyramid tea bags are working great so far. I dont know if you can really drain these empty as they seem to hang onto some liquid, but they wick extremely well, which is a huge improvement over the polyfill...

One thing that I still struggle with is getting the right amount of liquid in the 801 cart. The size is probably the biggest obsticle, so there's a lot of room for liquid to flow down the cart. I still get some liquid through the mouthpiece if I warm the cart up enough. It just seems to flow real easily.

I also havent found the perfect way to fill the cart with the PTB's. I have tried the single sheet rolled up, with another single roll in the middle (giving 3 carpet rolls in the cart), then cut down to just about 1mm below the top of the cart. It almost seems like that may be too tight, and the wicking just isint there.

Anyone else been using the PTB's on 801 carts? Looking to do some brainstorming or find out what the best method is

I couldn't find the Lipton Pyramids at Shop-Rite, Pathmark, or Acme. Then I went to Target and they had like 10 varieties, on sale @ $2.50.

    Gonna give it a shot!

Lipton was a British company, originally from Scotland coincidently.
