    Question

Now how easy is it to separate the drained sponges?

Also is there a recommended way to clean the sponges so there clean enough to fill with another flavor?

The sponges come apart easily when you take them out of the syringe.

You can use them without cleaning if you don't mind mixing your flavours. If you do want to clean them they clean in water.

Or if you don't have water handy, roll it up in a paper towell and squeeze it hard, move it to a clean spot on the towell and repeat until no more liquid comes off on the towell. Two or three repititions usually does it. That will get out almost all the remaining traces of liquid.

I emptied some cartridges this weekend for a new flavor and the syringe trick worked like a charm. Kate, the water trick was flawless. I just used the syringe (after cleaning it) to get rid of the excess water.

Glad it worked for you Leerm, it's handy to be able to reuse cartridges and more environmentally friendly.

You can buy the syringes in Boots chemist for about 15p, ask behind the pharmacy counter.
