Draining attys?

I am wondering if anyone knows why it is hard to get vapor production directly after you reuse your atty once it has been drained overnight?

I have to puff, puff, puff before i can get a decent hit!

Is there something I can do to expedite the return of vapor production?

The atty can foul out like a spark plug. Make sure the thread end is clean and dry; especially in the small crevice that insulates positive from negative.

Prime atty with a couple drops of juice.

I can hear atty boiling when the liquid reaches the coil.

after you wash and dry are you putting one to two drops directly on your atty ?

I am not washing, just blowing the excess out and letting it drain overnight..

I only wash atty when performance wains.

I am too lazy to drain them at night.

My attys have lasted several months; knock on wood.

I like to keep all the brass clean and dry.

I don't let atty get to warm.

I try to keep coil wet all the time.

I stopped draining overnight about 2 weeks ago. Since then my attys have been more consistent most of the time. I just leave the cart on and place the e-cig so that any excess will drain back to the cart while keeping the atty primed. I've been much less frustrated, and the first hit in the morning is ready to go and is good.

Methods that work for me with a dry atty.

Two or four drops into the atty to get started, then install a full cartridge.

Cover the vent holes to restrict intake and take one or two strong pulls on the e-cig. This seems to act like an old school choke in a car and helps get the atty primed faster.

I have also resorted to sucking on the vent area very briefly to pull juice down into the atty's metal sponge. This works, but you have to be careful not to pull juice all the way through the atty and flood it.

I'm curious if anyone else has tried these methods.

I have been known to do that but be careful about encouraging juice to flow closer to an auto battery. I tend to keep LED end up to prevent flooding auto batt.
