i didnt think it was polyester. not a good idea with polyester as it gives off toxic fumes when burnt.

It looks like polyester , but im sure it isnt.

But heck , it's all Chinese made stuff so what do they care , it may well be polyester.

Do the cartridges actually burn at any point?

I have had Hairs get in to the atomizer, it does not taste good, whatever its made of.

I saw something new (to me) the other day. Some kind of new batting at the fabric store.
Its synthetic and non flamable, looked very much the same as whats in the carts.
If that stuff would work, it would be a lifetime supply for 2 dollars, hehe

The main reason for my post though, I was able to get a couple of those large syringes from the pharmacy for free (target pharmacy here, but im sure any would have them).

They are used to give kids medicine (pets too for that matter). Just wanted to tell where you can get one. This kind has NO needle, so might be good for certain clumbsy people too

So I've heard it's polyster and then I'll read it's acrylic. Which is it, or does it just depend on the manufacturer?

one way to find out would be to pull the stuffing out of a cart .. rinse it with water, let it dry and then set light to it ... if it's cotton it should smoulder if it's polyester it will melt/burn.

ROFL - You're really trying for that authentic 70's Malboro Flavour aren't you? I seem to vaguely remember them playing with fibre glass filters for a while - and it really gave you a throat kick (with size 12 steelies) - was about the time I was introduced to the Winston and the Embassy Regal (Seemed they were about the only three brands in Scotland at that time)

On a more serious note - anyone pulled apart an e-cigar cartridge yet? (e-cigs shimmer) What is with the dab of silicon sealer (like caulk) glueing the material in? It also seems to be a folded sheet of poly-wool that sort of half fills the cartidge in density.
Am tempted to double up, - i.e. two fillers in one cartridge (double thick not double height) - and using the egg cup idea I read here somewhere for filling - would that give me an even better catridge life?

Perhaps an analogue cigarette filter could be used as a cartridge? Just a thought. Still waiting my evo, so all i can do now is brainstorming
