    Default Dripping and carts

One thing I can't seem to find an answer for is when you're direct dripping on the atomizer, does your cart have filler in it or is it empty. Just the plastic, nothing on the inside.

Speaking only for myself I always have the material in the cart, but do not put any juice in them.

I drip only and as I vape ,some liquid makes it's way
    (via suction) into the material.

If the unit starts getting harder to drag ,or I start tasting liquid ,I take the material out and squeeze it into a napkin and then blow through the empty cart to clean any liquid remaining in the passage(s) out.

Then I Re-stuff the cart and drip away.

I wondered this myself. I would think you would always get juice in your mouth if the filler wasnt there...

I was thinking the same thing.

Then here's a question. What can affect, or better yet, what determines the draw strength? Like how hard or soft you have to suck to get the vape? Is it the filler?

Not only do I use an empty cartridge, but I have also bored out the hole in the end of the mouthpiece to make it much, much wider so that I have a much easier draw.

I'm new to the e-cig scene but I ordered a couple EVO 401's and they've been great. One of the things I find difficult is the harder draw however....so I've been just dripping exclusively now to get great flavor and vapor. On mine, the cartridge is completely removed, so basically it's just the empty mouthpiece. Is there any hard in doing this? I don't seem to taste any juice I know of as of it....I use 2 drops @ a time on the atomizer.

No filler, no cart, lol and oft times no tip ("tail-piping")

    (and no liquid in mouth)

My experience is limited to the DSE 901's ,
and with these carts (not sure about other models)
The small space that holds the filler material is sealed and the only way that the juice can travel is by being "wicked" into the attomizer mesh.

I've used the old style and new style 901 carts...The old style 901 carts had one large "air passage" the newer style has a smaller passage on both sides of the cartridge.

The way that juice can get to your mouth is by way of these "air passages".

It first goes into the atty , and then (any unvaporized liquid)by way of suction turns around and makes its way back towards the mouth through these passages.

Because of this I find it necessary to periodicly blow through the mouthpiece (rather than suck)
as you do when vaping in order to clean out any excess
    juice in them.

I also take all my carts apart once a week and put them in a 50/50 solution of water and isopropol alchahol and swirl them around a bit , then let them sit for 1/2 an hour (in the solution) to disolve any juice that may have thickened in
    the passages.

I Swirl around once more, then dump the "cleaner" then
fill the container back up with some very warm water and swirl again to rinse ,I then towel them dry,
then allow them to finish drying by air.

It's a bit of work but it keeps the air passages clear and free making for a pretty easy draw.
