Haha, fair enough. I found that the 105 degree heat was increasing this lately, but discovered that if I make sure and keep the LED end up, in other words never tilting the cart so that it can empty out, no more leaking juice problems. I'm also trying a brand new material for batting at the moment, cotton cheesecloth.

Yes, do that, change the batting.

My M401 was leaking something awful. After watching some of the videos I realized that my fiber batting was real skimpy. So some forum members imparted their wealth of knowledge to me....now no more problems except the odd time, when my attys don't work properly.
I even tried a natural delicate facial sponge, but the nic just stayed at the bottom of the cart. I somehow can't see the cheesecloth as being any better. I was even thinking about the info commercial about that orange cloth, you know the one, where it sucks up liquid that is under the carpet....but, that 2 may leave the nic at the bottom of the cat.

I got the fiber fill batting at a fabric store (it was closer for me than the pet store). And now, no more leaking. I actually roll the fiber fill between my fingers into a spaghetti strand and then fold it over and have the folded end facing the atty. I tried it the way the videos showed but I still had leaking. This way it doesn't. It expands real nice when the juice is added.

Also, cheese cloth being cotton may catch fire???? At least with the plastic, it will only melt. I think?

I hope you find a solution to your problem and thank you again for giving me peace of mind about the above product.

So far it's doing ok but doesn't last long before going dry, and I've tried two densities, one really dense like a cigarette filter and the other about half as dense, same results. Maybe if I keep it LED end down while using it'll last longer but I'll probably try some Fluval next. I was just at the big box store I should have picked some up.

I was able to buy 1 pint of PG at a local drugstore (Trustee Drugs) for USD 9.95.

A local grocery store here had flavors made from PG, alcohol and flavor. It was a store brand Kroger.

Question Not seeing much interest in VG

What about VG? Is VG as good as PG? Does it taste different? Where can it be purchased in raw form?

You can purchase a gallon of Propylene glycol USP from Jeffers pet supplies (livestock section) for about $20.00.

I had my pharmacist order the PG for me. Tell them you want pharmaceutical grade. Most pharmacies get deliveries every day so you should be able to get it almost immediately.
