Cleaning Carts b4 refilling?

Hey all! I just tried something last night that I had never really heard of before and WOW! Read and give it a try if you dont already:

The back story: I went to the casino last night with the wife and was puffing away on an RY4 cart that came with my JS. Later I switched over to a menthol cart I have been refilling for a couple of days now. I know you are supposed to use em for a day and chuck em but that would add about $15 a month to my vaping costs. So i try to get as much life out of em as I can. Well anyway, the menthol tasted like burnt moldy ass! I know the juice is good as i have been using it for days now. So I get back to the hotel room and realized I didnt have any other empty carts. So I washed the batting out in super hot water and dried it. Refilled it and OMG! Like new again! If your not sure on procedure or need instuctions I have em below. Otherwise skip the rest of the message.

The Method:
Pull off the cart, pull out the batting with a set of tweezers. Run some hot water in the sink and dip the batting in with the tweezers and give it a good shake till the batting is snowy white again. Pull it out and put it in a hand towel or dry wash cloth and squeeze till bone dry. Wash out the plastic part of the cart with water. Twist the batting a bit at one end and reinsert. Fill and enjoy.

I do this after I've used a cart for a couple of days. I can usually get the cart to work good for about 3-5 days before having to use a different cart or rinse it out. It does work great. Used the same 5 carts for about a month using this method.

I've used the same 1 cartridge for over a month doing this.

I put my carts and cart caps in a small bowl of alcohol for about 3-5 minutes and they come out just like new. I then re-pack them with some Fluval and I am good to go.
