"Packing" the e-cig? I swear this works..... in E-Cigarette Technical; I like the idea of spinning your arm with the e-cig in your hand and using centrifical force.

And I can just imagine it now...
Sitting on a park bench having a nice vaporizing break...
Start to taste that dry atomizer burning flavor...
(Stands up, swings arm around in circles, sits back down)

I have told people to watch the cart filler or wick, on occasion they need to be pitched out, or just washed and dried, nice and white again, but watch them for thin or bunched up places, they should be nice and even from end to end. New are so cheap. But also some people "twist" their cart onto the atty, and the bridge in the atty acts like a lever, pushing the filler farther up in the holder. Be sure to push straight in and pull straight out to avoid messing up the filler when attaching the cart. The wick should also "peek" out from the edge of the wick holder to make good contact with the bridge. Juice can then easily be drawn into the heat.

I've been doing the opposite- After reading what SurfMonkey and a few others said.
I push the filler 1/8 in. down so that less hair from the cart material have a chance to burn.
Really though- I think the cart and filler should only be used a few days then they taste wierd.

Spring
im going to try a minuscule spring under the filler.
it will always push the filler up and squeeze the remaining juice out of the filler.

Having tried variations on this method, I will now say that I was able to suck my filler dry today.
I was able to smoke all the juice out of a cartridge, which is a miracle in my book.
I did not "pack" it because the jarring probably is not a good idea.
But I did give it some centrifugal force as needed.
I basically held it in my hand and shook it back and forth battery side down.
At first I was shaking it too hard for how much liquid was left, and I got some leaking.
But over the course of the day I got it down pretty much pat.
When full, don't shake at all, and just let it wick.
After a couple of drags, shake it a couple of times, slowly and softly.
The more empty it gets, the more you shake it and the harder you shake it.
At the end I was shaking it about seven times, fairly hard.
I got almost every bit of juice from that filler, as verified by pulling it out with tweezers.
And I never got even one single drag that tasted like dry cartridge atomizer burnt taste.
Not even one, the entire cartridge, and I sucked it completely dry.
This method is a winner, and makes me feel like using cartridges is no longer a waste of time.

If I blow into my cart, approximately the same thing happens.

I found out this works great. I use the straw and a needle that I carry with my stuff. I have the straw in there and when it starts to go dry, I just top it off using the needle, moving it around while I top off. Gets it all the way in there and viola a perfectly refilled cart. Then I keep "tapping it" downward torwards the battery and I usually get a whole cartfull too before I have to refill again.

Have the straw mod on my 801 but it doesn't help with the filler packing to the bottom of the cart.
To the OP you may want to tap it with the battery off (unless you have a sealed battery) to prevent juice from getting in the battery.
