I use the spring out of an ink pen and it keeps the filler from shrinking down to begin with, and holds liquid better. I just stretched out the spring, cut it to size and twisted it counter-clockwise into the poly filling and press it into the cart, it also works if you just split the filler down the middle and then wrap it around the spring, (You can get 3 of them, out of one spring, once it's stretched out)

Hmmmm... I might try that. Doesn't the spring heat up though? I am wondering if it can melt the plastic of the cart on the bottom. I've had a couple of carts start melting on me already - baaaaad smell.

I don't use cart filler much anymore, but when I do (mostly in the car) I just give it a gentle blow once or twice and the juice from the bottom of the cart travels through to the wicking or the from filling. Try that before you start reinventing the wheel, it may be much easier.

No, the spring doesn't heat up. Never has, and I've been doing it for over 2 weeks now. Never had a problem. Works great

Wow, that sounds like what the inside of a VK/KR808D-1 Cartomizer looks like when "looking down the barrel' without the caps on. A spring/coil shaped wire surrounded by batting.

Sometimes reinventing the wheel is fun. Think I will
try the spring method. Thanks for the idea.

I usually use a toothpick, paperclip, bobbypin, whatever's handy, to pull it up a little whenever I refill.

I normally just use that drying out of a cart and loss of vapor as a sort of barometer to my vaping....if I start refilling alot I know it might be time to put it down for a while. Otherwise I would chain vape all day long.
