    Default Blocking the 'hole'

    Hey guys,

Iv discovered a pretty cool trick but not sure if I killing my e cig by doing it

What I do is I block the venting hole on the filter, suck and then release whilst continue sucking, I get s*** loads more vapour but at what cost??!?!?

probably at the cost of the life expectancy of your atomiser...the hole is there for a reason...

thats an old 901 trick...ok occasionally, but i wouldnt do it every time you take a drag...

Mr Darcy is correct.. You are causing the heating element in the atomizer to over heat which will cause the wick to burn up. It could lead to a burnt taste or a dead atomizer.

hmm, I was just told about this trick by a friend who brought e-cig yesterday.. he found it by accident ... It may burn the atomizer faster but since the batteries produce very disappointing amount of smoke if not freshly charged I find this the only solution to get satisfying results...
On the other hand since the batteries start to make less smoke long before they are fully drained this means they UNDERHEAT the athomizer otherwise the amount of smoke wont be works but it is ... which should mean that its ok to help it a little to heat up and do the job its made for?

So, how would u comment this?

    Default Semi-blocking DSE901 hole

Try this! cover HALF or less of the DSE901 hole with some strong tape. It makes the draw quite hard, but man does it increase the vapour on mine. These things are so tempermental, some work better with a bigger hole, some work better with small, so who knows??? I tried this after watching a youtube video from a very jovial british chap with a 2 hole supermini. He had dissappointing results originally, but covered one of the holes and the vapour output was huge! Anyone else see that vid?? I'll link it if I find it again. I imagine it's less stressful to the atomizer than covering the hole completely, even for a second. and I don't mind the heavy draw. Try it.

Lol It may well have been me. but i would only recomend it on an automizer that has more than 1 hole because like others have said if you totaly stop the air flow you will go blue in the face from sucking ...and 2nd you will burn out your automizer.....Oh PS ....MINE IS STII GOING TO THIS DAY .....Just had to take shares in WHSmith for tape though lol lol.

Yes it was you Rusty! Thanks to Kate for the name and link. I do not own a supermini, only the DSE901. I block about 1/3 of the hole with super sticky white tape, no cartridge, drip only and it does increase the vapour. Leaving a cartridge in makes it harder to puff on. It heats the atomizer up a bit faster than an unplugged hole, but I'm not too worried since I only puff it maybe 5-6 times before putting it down.

I see on your profile you're a jovial SCOTTISH chap, I didn't pick up on the accent, I'm listening on tinny, crappy old speakers. Cheers to ye.
