    Mooby,

I have an atty that get plenty hot but doesn't seem to produce much vapor. I didn't have anything to lose so I tried the burn off from your video. Seems better but I will put it through a few more cycles and see what happens. A big improvement. Thanks.

How long do your attys last? Say for a 510.

Keep the videos coming. As a noob I really appreciate them.

Extended dry vaping (several seconds) a gunked up atty can convert the gunk to carbon. The carbon can be flushed out with distilled H2O; you can see the black carbon particles in the flushed out H2O. The coil may reach temps over 1500F during true dry vape which may lead to embrittlement of the metal coil and reduce coil lifespan. I reserve dry vaping for last resort because I am not sure if I can replace atty in the future.

I like distilled H2O and pure grain alcohol (PGA) flushing; I would do the Vodka flush you mentioned, but the thing is, I don't have any Vodka
Good thing about PGA or Vodka is the atty dries quickly.

I do use hydrogen peroxide from time to time followed by distilled H2O flush.

I don't understand the purpose of the Coke flush but I know it is popular. I don't want to give extra micro organisms any chance of getting in my lungs. Seems germs don't like PGA (alcohol) and hydrogen peroxide so I'll stick with those.

The one thing I would add is to use a tooth pick to clean atty between the positive and negative groove on the batt side of atty. Sometimes gunk gets in this groove and fouls out the atty, much like oil fouls a spark plug.

I like your videos Wish I had an edobit.

Why shouldn't you inhale the vapor when you're cleaning, isn't it just left over juice?

Also would isopropyl alcohol work fine?

Finally can you vape drinking alcohol, could I drop some everclear onto the cartridge and smoke it? I've seen kids inhale vodka using dry ice, sort of the same concept I think

    Isopropyl alcohol is poison.

I vape with 50% Everclear 190 proof PGA and 50% VG sometimes.

With this maintenance routine I have not had an atty die on me yet. I might just be lucky.

The liquid i already drained out. You are burning off residue and I just don't think it would be safe to inhale concentrated, caked on residue.

Makes sense to me, probably wouldn't be so kind on my lungs.

Thankfully I always have Everclear on hand cause I like taking a straight shot or two when I'm feeling like getting tipsy Thing is I'm from MN and we only have the 151 so I have to drive across the river to get the 190 proof, but it's only a 10 minute drive.

Or maybe it will clean your lungs :P
    Maybe it will sterilize atty?
    Who knows???
I haven't noticed any short term effects from vaping 50% 190 proof PGA, 50% PG recipe.
