I'm kinda new to vaping but I tried this PTB mod and came up with something that seems to work pretty well so far. I was going to post the website where I have the descriiption and pics posted, but I guess I can't until I have more than 15 posts, sorry. I'll try and describe it sans the pics. After I rolled and folded the tea bag as per one of the videos I watched, I frayed the open ends with a bit of emery cloth. What this did was give me sort of a frizzy end similar to the standard cartridge material. After inserting this "frizzyended" ptb in the cart, I trimmed the fuzz off using scissors to be level with the plastic of the cartridge. I filled it with e-juice and inserted it into the atomizer, began vaping. Then after 15 or so puffs, I removed the cartridge to inspect. What I had was a nicely formed shape in the bristles that had taken on the shape of the atty. I was able to get around 15 drops in a 510 cart an vaped it almost dry with no burnt taste. It seems "frizzing" the end of the ptb may help it wick the e-liquid better than just cutting the end of the tea bag flush with the end of the cart. I've done this with numerous ptb's now, washed dried and reused them. I gently fluff apart the bristles after cleaning and they seem to continue to "wick" really well. I also found a cure for the gurgling I was experiencing that seems to help keep from getting that little bit of juicy taste from time to time. It's on the same page. I'm not sure maybe I should just make some more posts...I'm getting a few more flavors in a day or two, I'll post a review of each to get my number up. |

Stopping in just to share my experience with the Pyramid Tea Bag material in 510 carts. I've been using the same carts for about 2 months with no performance degradation. The material is beginning to look a bit ragged. They rinse beautifully and completely under running water. I fill the carts when starting a fresh battery. The best part is that the carts have been needing only ONE top-off before the battery quits. And, depending on the flavor, sometimes I can get away with not topping off at all. Some flavors change for the better as the cart become drier. I find that to be true especially for tobacco-type flavors. |
