Well sadly my atty has died today....but it worked just as good as new right until the end...45 days!! that's my longest lasting atty yet.
As you can see from the pic ...not too much gunk at all.

    hi subirtonpete,
did the daily burn process change the taste of your atty in the long term?
was the atty performance really 100% like new after 45 days?
that would be a great achievment..
did you ever do a vodka wash on that atty in 45 days or the taste was clean all over that time?

I only did a vodka rinse once because of a bad taste..it can taste a bit funny for a few puffs after the dry burn but I just don't inhale it for a few puffs and there is absolutely no loss of performance at all. The brand new atty I have just started today is performing exactly the same as my 45 day old one was.

I am only recommending this method if you are not having much luck with atties anyway.....plenty of people seem to get even more than a couple of months out of atties using other methods but for some reason it didn't matter what I tried, I was lucky if I had one that lasted me for as long as two weeks until I tried this method and since I started doing this all my atties have lasted well over two weeks and the best part is that they don't even loose their performance.

Hi Pete. A goog result nonetheless, some 120ml, not bad

The pic shows a bit more desposit than i was expecting, and a somewhat different color and texture. So there may well be some components in the deposit that do not burn off; think tin, for example, that Exo showed had got into the deposit, presumably from the solder.

hi Steve ...yes that's now my second atty that's lasted over 40 days, at long last it's starting to cost me less to vape than to smoke duty free tobacco! Although I have spent quite a bit more in the last 9 months than I would have done in a year of smoking, so it's still going to be quite a while before I could say I have saved any money by vaping.

The mucky coils sure don't look very nice when seen up close. Yes I remember there was quite a bit of tin in those results Exo got from his deposit. I wonder if that's the yellowy colour.

that's the part i like, my attys usually don't die but they loose their performance just past a week.
i will try the dry burn method and see if it prolongs the performance.
    Just a couple more questions,
do you perform the dry burn just once a day before going to sleep?
    or after every vaping session?
do you disconnect the atty from your filled cart night time after the dry burn (supposing you do the dry burn at the end of the day)?
    thanks

Yes I found that atties noticeably lost performance within a couple of days of vaping until I started doing the dry burns...it's certainly cured that problem.
I haven't made any routine out of it..I just make sure I do it at some point in the day and I don't do anything like disconnecting the cart at night. Hopefully you will have as much luck as I have been having.

Possibly. For example: Tin Oxide Layer on Hot Tin Dipped Plating Turns Yellow
