If you D.D., there's really no reason for it, it just seems to wick better than the polywool that comes with most carts. It's also easier than the various teabag methods out there.

To be quite honest though, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! No reason to go doing this if you already enjoy your current vaping experience! It's really more for the folks who are looking to use wicking carts and can't stand having to top off their polywools all the time... if that's not you, then you can safely ignore it!

OK, so you still use the "cup". The cig. filter is strictly the wicking material. Got it. May try that but wouldn't the fibers off of the cig. filter be more prone to attaching to the nickle plated wicking "bridge" on the atty's? I mean, that stuff is really rough and will just about grab anything that touches it. May try that just for grins.

I had half a pack of cigs left that I was not going to smoke so I tried it.

Worked really really well. So much vapour. But I think it holds liquid too well. its not dry before i get the burnt taste. or maybe its something else..

If you are not getting 18-20 drops in a normal 510 cart (depends on viscosity) IMHO I have to side with HighPing, the mod becomes a moot point. The density of "filter material" is such that it does not wick well, and retains too much "unusable liquid".

I applaud and thank all who have the gumption towards bldg a better mouse trap, but do so moving forward, not backwards.

Proud user of the Maxwell House mod (I mean HP) good to the last drop.

Because all the cool kids are doing it. C'mon, you know you want to.

This is easy, no messes, works well, and most cost effective filler I have tried.
No more cotton threads, no more rolling tiny tea bags, this is quick and simple.
The tubes you can get at any smoke shop 200 for only about $3.00.
Thanks to forum user SMC for the idea.

I just tried your mod...awesome!! The th and vapor are great
And the fact that it's simple and easy for a brain-challenged oldbroad
    doesn't hurt either
