    Default tip for flooded attys

i think most people know if an atty is flooded you can use a kleenex to absorb some of the juice from the atty but i just realized this the other day.

the space between the atty and the battery can be flooded with juice too.
i have unscrewed the battery from the atty many times and found that if i dabbed the end of the battery as well as the threaded end of the atty i get a lot of juice there too. once dry screw the cig back together. usually brings the e cig right back to life.

most every device will get juice on the battery connection. Sometimes down into the battery itself , cleaning these contacts regularly is a good idea.

Once a week you should be cleaning out the threads on the atty and on the battery and clean up all connections.

    Regardless of device.

Check the atty's and batteries at least once a week for crud build up. I usually carry 5 batteries, an extra atty and an extra cart in a zip lock. Seems to be a good crud fighter.

Usually you can wipe or gently dig out the crud with a lint free cloth (no point in wiping if a bunch of lint is left behind) or a toothpick.

If my battery (ies) are acting up, I let them sit for a day or so and this seems to take care of the issue.

If the atty is gurgling a bit too much, I blow it out, from the threads end into a cloth. If this doesn't do it, I'll switch to another atty and let the drowned one dry for awhile.

BTW, I drip. I have recently started the "screen" method. It's working for me. Mileage may vary. I'e noticed a more consistent vape and my atty isn't gurgling all the time and it gives a better draw.

That's one thing I love about Cisco's laser mod (CALM). No circuit boards to worry about. I just remove the battery and atty then run scalding water through it, blow it out and let it dry awhile - right back to full strength again.

I clean my threads daily, but I also drip with an automatic battery (I know tsk tsk) but yea I clean the threads/connection from attie to battery daily to prevent the battery from short circuiting.
