Default Major update

Check this out they are called Tank Valves found at a NAPA store (auto parts) the go in air compressors and Well tanks - (plumbing store should have them also) Went in to look for parts after TxTrouble's post about finding them at a PEP Boy's. Thes things are perfect all ready have the 1/8 threads and are low profile - I will post another pic once I have revamped one.

How about this as a possible replacement?
Sorry I can't post a link to it yet. There's a company here in the UK called maplin which happens to be the name of their website. They do a product with an order code of JK09K. Think that should get you there !
Straight out of the pack the centre contact is recessed too deeply within the threaded part, but a minute with a file soon sorts that out.
There also seem to be other interesting possibilities with it. As you use the body of the connector to make the connection with the thread, you can remove the three "prongs" and the connector fits perfectly inside the 901's battery housing.
S'cuse the technical term "prongs"
Hope this proves useful to someone out there.
Haven't built it into anything myself yet as I'm struggling to find any of these wonderful torches you all seem to be able to get so easily here in the UK.

Remember also that JB weld can be used to mold threaded parts (soapy water, light oil), you would just have to integrate your conductive material, unless there is 2-part putty out there that is conductive.

MadDog's, or any metal that will match tread, of course is better.

I was interested in trying this rather than killing a battery to get the connector, but I have to say the time, effort, and cost in parts it takes to build one puts me off. I'd rather just kill a $10 battery and have the nice small prebuilt connector. Not that this isn't useful - someone might need a hefty well-built connector. However, I need mine to be small as possible.

I also have to comment on the draw vs. holes issue that was mentioned earlier - when you cover the draw hole on the side of the atomizer connected to an OEM battery with a vacuum switch and draw, it kills the airflow 100%. That hole on the side is the ONLY hole that air is coming through.
