Well, I fell at the first fence!
This is the fault I was trying to fix...
The LED came on when sucking the end of the battery.. but no power comes to the coil.. an odd failure mode.
Confirmed the pressure sensor works, but no power out - There is a simple battery test you can do by pushing your tongue into the end of the battery and sucking at the same time. A tingle (not shock!) tells you the pressure senor is working and that power is being delivered.. In my case, LED glows but no tingle.
Anyhow.. my attempts to find out why didn't even get off the ground after the atomiser snapped off!
Any more advice on how to disassemble a battery welcomed!

Great video!
Used the same technique to dismantle one of my M401 manuals that failed. I used a cartomizer from another model that was able to fit the screw - the atomizers of M401 are too small for this purpose.
Now getting ready to make a mod or my own PT...
