See pictures. The "box" is a 4 AA battery holder with cover. It came with it's own on/off switch and wiring. Easy simple mod. The holder contains 4 AA NiMH batteries, I simply took a really poorly performing DSE901 atomizer, soldered the red lead to the centre post, the black to the outer ring where the screw threads are, and "assemble" it with a strip of duct tape. Taadaa!! It's easy to hold in my right hand and operate the switch, it's not a push button switch, but a slide switch. It's not much of a hassle, I just activate it with my thumb. Since I already had the batteries and soldering iron, this was a grand total of 5 bucks! And as imagined, nice clouds of nico-vapour!!! mmmm mmmm good!

Ah, it's easy to unsolder and do another one. I tried using the battery connector from a dead battery so I could just uncrew it, but I melted the grommet between the contacts and it shorts out. I've got my good and bad atomizers separated. Good ones for e-cig use, bad ones for my monstrosity. IT'S ALLLLLLIIIIVVVVE!! |

| I reckon you might just win that one. Why don't we have an ugly e-cig contest?

I saw that model after I made mine, I swear your honour!! They read my thoughts as I slept Next step will be....As soon as I have another dead battery, I'm gonna drill a hole in the housing of my battery holder, remove the excess wiring, and epoxy the battery connector right into it. But the best part with this setup is, I can take the tape off and dunk the atomizer in water and switch it on, and boil out the gunk from the inside. I did that this morning and it did pick up a bit in performance. |

Hey, youfillintheblank! Where did you buy that box? I am using exactly the same box for my USB modded pen-types here in Hungary. It is so cheap (about 80 cents here) that I thought it is made somewhere here in Hungary. Anyway, my USB modded pen-types are the prettiest ones: there is no switch on them, just the USB cable, by which they can be connected either to an USB port or to that box containing four NiMH batteries |
