I'm pretty sure most everyone on here knows this, but just in case you are a noob like me.... I was filling the S#$% out of my attys and they flooded constantly (so much that I had to keep a paper towel around them because the juice was coming out) and I went through 15ml in 5 days, (which is still a lot cheaper than regular smokes) but my husband then informed me that this was very wrong. My flavor would start to get bad and I would just juice the crap out of my atty until it poured everywhere (In my defense, it tasted waaaaaaaaaay stronger than it does now) but it would drop off and taste bad after only 3 puffs...so I would flood it again. So messy, so much wasted liquid, so much better now, although the taste isnt quite what it was, but just so you know, this is wrong. (I also was super worried about burning up my atty, which I had done with my last two that I felt justified constantly pouring juice in) the fact of the matter is, more juice is terrible for the atomizer and makes the bad taste come faster and more terrible.. Like I said, most everyone on here probably knows this, its probably a rare beginners mistake, but if i could throw this tip up there and it helps one person, I will embarrass myself for that! |

I go through 30 ml in 7 days but I rarely flood my atomizer. I wait until the vapor starts to decrease before adding more liquid.

I'm using 30 ml in about 10 days, but at first was using 5ml+ of good Johnson Creek Original with good vapor output and good performing device. You do need time to settle in with a sort of schedule, which is established over time. But first you have to get your fight/flight/panic reactions into control. This will happen over time, when you've figured out that the e-cig and a hundred stand-by-parts and a stash of juice is going to still be there tomorrow, and you'll finally be able to just relax with that knowledge in hand. You're still fighting addiction to everything cigarette, not just the nicotine level. Different set of maintanance requirements! First thing to remember is puffing with looong, gentle draws, get that atty to heat up long enough to make good vapor, not puffing harder cause it's not. It never will work that way. |

I don't feel like a noob anymore (despite the handle) and to this day, I can still flood an atty. I've found a few things lead to this IMHO. 1. Filler/Poly needs a clean. Seems it gets gooey over time, even within a day, and that allows the juice to flow instead of wick. Take it out, rinse, dry and go again after blowing atty out. 2. Heavy vaping followed by long lull. Juice seems to continue to wick/flow and then get thick in the atty bowl. Not much luck for me in vaping that off. I have to blow out the extra and start again. 3. Dirty and/or dying atty. Again, enough heat to get the juice flowing but not as much being vaped so it starts to fill 'er up again. 4. The juice. I have some flavors that rarely seem to flood and others that I can get to flooding by the end of the day - though I think this is in combination with 1 or many of the above. And, on a good vaping day == no flooding, I go thru 6ml @ 18mg.

Excellent points nubee. This is all part of the learning curve, all of us have an off-day when one (Or more!) of those components goes hay wire! That's part of learning the need to avoid panic reactions at all costs. Slow down, analyze.

I go through abput 10ml a week but I drip on green cig cartomizers and sometimes add a drop or 2 of extra flavoring! When I do use my 510 I use an edobit.. you can do a search for it.. you keep some flavor in the cart and then use the edobit on the atty.. I rarely get a funny atty taste anymore.. but quite honestly I am rarely attached from My KR808 and green cig carts.. to me its just an easier model to use and more vapor!! | |

well, that's the thing though, my flavor would definitely drop off and I would have NO vapor at all! So I would just keep adding more. also, I guess I should say I was a pack a day smoker. My main point was that lots of liquid doesn't equal better taste/vapor. Just that it doesn't take nearly as much as I was putting on it, and day 5 of a new bottle, after figuring out this new technique is less than half gone, and I vape A LOT more than I smoked. with much better taste, and no leakage. I also drip onto atty and top of carts, I don't know if that's different for any of you...

A lot of your liquid is probably trapped in the filler, too. That is why you read about ht e cart modifications. The two most popular are the straw method and the PTB filler (using cleaned out Lipton Pyramid tea bags). It helps the liquid at the bottom of the cart get to your atomizer more efficiently, so the atty doesn't taste dry as quickly. You'll find you're vapinog longer between refills and "topping off" now takes 8-10 drops kinstead of only allowing 2-3 before it is filled. Go to the FAQs link below and check out question #4 for more info!

what type atty are you using? Like kristin said, most probably in your filler material in the cart. I have seen lots of juice in the filler material and still acts like it needs juice. Most likely culprit is the filler material isnt making contact with the bridge of atty and atomizing it as it should. I see this with 801's sometimes. Have you replaced the filler material in the cart and started fresh? Could help a lot. |

I originally had the 510 atty, burned two of them to nothingness, and then I ordered the 306 to do straight dripping/ dipping. I've since seen my improvements in putting the 306 filler back in the cart and topping it off while dripping on the atty. just a mix of the two has really helped. I'm sketched out about the straw mod though. don't want to burn the plastic on the atty and have another fail. and I do clean out the filler when the flavor just stays bad. |
