I was reading a thread about boiling atomizers, and somebody suggested that it's the agitation that's important, not the water temperature which could actually be harmful. Somebody else somewhere mentioned Alka Selzer - so I thought, denture cleaner tablets! I tried it and it seemed to work fine. The attys (so far) are good as ever and it seemed to get rid of the residual taste and smell of the previous juice. I tossed in some carts too for that.

works well for me too. been giving all my attys a weekly 10 min soak in the 3 minute Polident and it gets the job done perfectly. especially handy for anyone that drips darker juices like myself, 'cause for some reason they seem clog things up something fierce...and quick. after the Polident bath, rinse/blow out, and overnight dry though: it's like having brand new attys every week. ;D

Hmm i been getting a headache today about my atty.. Reason past 2 days i been burning it up as hell. Well basically i got this new liquid from Johnsoncreek -Tennessee Cured and it taste amazing the first day i had it but after last night till a few hours ago it started to taste horrible.. burnt ..ect ( Note- i was using the cats i got with the started package before -Vaped all 10 cat *Marlboro*) so i started looking up for options on cleaning the atty cause i did see it was getting clogged up. Well i didn't get enough courage to boil it or try any sort of liquid, here's what i did i unscrewed the battery making sure i get no life on it cause after all i was using a pin.. I then took the pin and lightly scrape the black off that was a bit hard then seeing it was moist under. So it's like a cacoon..

Then put back everything together with a empty cat with no filling inside just the hold and suck gently to burn up the moist... Then again took everything apart and blow the atomizer from the battery end.. Then once again put everything back together and from the battery end w/o any cat attached.. I blew tru the battery getting the rest of the stuff off... Now i top up a new cat and am shocked how the taste is more amazing than the first hit..

I would suggest never try using any sort of liquid/wetness trying to clean this device.. Even a waterproof watch can go bad when u swim. Why bring harm to your atty.

Someone in one of the other threads said there's a special Polident for smokers that works even better than the standard stuff.

As a supplier, we get a ton of attys and batts sent back for RMA (!#!!**&! 30 day no questions exchange

) so they pile up for R&D.

We don't sell "refurbs" and I've had a great deal of fun doing everything from 34th floor flight testing to 18,000 RPM industrial jewelry cleaners. (I really do love my job - think MythBusters for 510 attys and batts)

My other posts have described everything from basic alcohol, cola and polydent baths to shaking them at high decibels until the cores fall out.

What I've found is that most soft-clean techniques will work, provided:

1) You limit the bath to under 5 minutes. Any longer and you can damage the adhesive, tach-weld or glue that holds the heating coil to the atomizer chamber.

2) You cleanse in distilled water. Alcohol as a last-bath will dry the components and (over time) dislodge the coil.

3) Let dry overnight or blow dry. Using right away will always leave some residual taste and you won't be happy. Even worse, you'll be inclined to think you did something wrong and repeat the process.

Currently, we have jars of 510 attys and batts, your suggestions are welcome and I will be happy to report the results.

The Pro Health Mouthwash is actually better than the denture cleanser. A 10 minute soak followed by a very good rinse seems to do the trick. Also a word to the wise about the denture cleaner. Be careful with the painted Atty's. Some of these are a very good powder coat and bake paint job and others are more like fingernail polish. You will find out real quick which ones have the cheap paint. 10 minutes in denture cleaner and the paint will bubble and fall off. On the bright side of this, you get some great looking stainless steal attys.

the brand of mouth wash is "Pro health?"

I just cleaned some 510 atty's with alcohol and it worked well but the ring is kinda blocking the holes now.

I'd like to try the mouth wash.

I wish janty and others would make an atomizer cleaner that works well. coke didn't work for me at all and alcohol is not the best solution (pun intended)
