Straw mod issues: Leaking ATTY
SO i just tried out my straw mod and am fairly happy with the results except now whenever i stick a cart on my atty leaks like a 2 month old baby... is this a know side affect or is my mod in incorrectly? I was thinking it could just be liquid pooled inside the straw coming out....

I use the straw mod (small straw.. metal actually) exclusively and I never see this. Sounds to me like your cart is overfilled and when you push it on, the bridge pushes on the filler and juice comes out the straw. Are you using a "big" straw?

That was going to be my question and is my experience.
If the straw sticks up too high, it "vents" juice thru it.
I have cut mine down approx. 3mm below the top of the cart so some of the polyfill expands and "covers" it.
I can still flood my atty if I refill and let it set but not as fast or bad as before.

I have noticed that as well, going to try nubee's idea and see how that fixes it.

Thanks to all that responded. Like i said i like the results just not the sticky-gooey rain that followed lol. It is kind of a larger straw. I will try trimming to keep it below the polyfil and if that fails try a new straw...

Make sure you are using the tiny coffee stirrer straws. Mine as well are cut maybe an eighth of an inch below the cart end. The filler covers it ever so slightly. No leakage and awesome vape.

Right now im using coffee stirrers from a local gas station, but they are not the two hole type and seem a little bigger....

You might try cutting the straw in half (or nearly in half) lengthwise and putting the open end against the "wall" of the cart. And also, don't overfill the cart. The straw mod makes it easier to fill, which makes it easier to overfill, and if the juice is saturating the polyfill all the way down, then when the atty starts pushing into it, there's nowhere for it to go except out into the atty.
If you're also dripping a couple drops on the atty bridge, you might eliminate that step and let the overflow from the cart take care of "priming" the atty. I used to drip on the bridge and then fill the cart, but now I fill the cart first, and if it looks like I did one drop too many (because it doesn't vanish down into the filler), I just put the cart straight on and turn it cart-side up to let the atty bridge take up the excess.

That could def be part of my prob since before the mod i was purposely over-filling the carts in order to prime the atty in the mornings and after replacing a dead cart

What I do with the larger single hole straws is I flatten them out. Be sure you have plenty of vent holes cut up the entire length of the straw. You want the cart to be able to vent all the air out of the cart. I cut the straw so that it's top is just below the top of the filler.
