Actually JJ, I was looking for an ashtray similar to yours when I found mine in a kitchen drawer. It's not very obvious in that picture how small the bowls are. I hadn't used it in so long I'd forgotten it even existed. It also looks like you need more storage space than I do. And Cat, I love this picture. I've forgotten where I found it. I'm also very amused by your blinking cat. Earlier I was debating animating mine. |

Well, you could always buy and repurpose a nice ashtray for your e-cig. I actually got the idea from my mother, who likes using crystal ashtrays for potpourri. Some ashtrays are just too pretty to actually use for their intended purpose. For the smell, I used those car ashtrays that are sized to fit in a cupholder. The type that are supposed to contain the smoke and smell. They aren't perfect, but they do help. I'll admit, my girlfriend was the one who dived into e-cigs. What really changed my mind was one night when I ran out of smokes and needed to hit the bank in the morning. I grabbed her 510 (she was in bed) and some high nic, marb flavored, prefilled carts. Once I'd figured out how to properly hit it, I started to enjoy it more. Also, the fake Marb flavoring is preferable to the real thing. It may just take a little more experimenting. | |

Reminds me of several mini ashtrays I used to carry from class to class in college in the 70's when students and professors alike smoked analogs at their desks during class. How times have changed.

I had one those. I gave it to a friend of mine of who never tosses his butts on the ground. In retrospect, I could have given it to him years ago. |

Never thought to use my old ashtrays that way! Thanks for the tip and the laugh! ![]() I just have my stuff in a case or sitting around on a papertowel...not nearly as pretty. |

What cat avatars? My ashtrays serve many purposes now, the one in the car is now a change holder like other non smokers ashtrays are. The ones in the house were thrown out except for one for company that smokes.

I felt like my old ashtrays were a bad reminder of what I use to do. So I made my own. Hope you like. ![]() ![]() |
