Here is a (somewhat roughly) disassembled DSE 901 auto battery and atty. They were both dead, so no harm done. My first disassemblies, I learned from them how to disassemble the things more easily without breaking things. The battery was certainly the easiest to disassemble, it does just slide or push out.

Love this thread! Anyone got a dead 4075 they feel like disassembling?

And what about those internal batteries? Are they replaceable from a stock source or custom? I think I can see how you could change over a failed auto battery to a manual one with a little work. I'm sure the modders have already done that, though, a million times already.

Wonderful pictures! Thank you so much!

This helps my curiosity until mine stop working and I get to disect them.

How the heck are these, and other things of this nature, manufactured? How can humans work and see such detail and precision? Amazing.

I always use the coper tube cutter in the first few pictures of the Thread Chuaa! remember save that batt's connector if you're not using it in a mod yet, you will need it for a mod.

*** Great pictures , nice arrangement guys, thanks for posting ! I'm waiting to see the inside of many more models please post !

Very nice pictures! Has anyone got a picture of inside a RN4072/DSE801 or other penstyles? Perhaps the manual one?

You can. After you pop off the led cover, you can pull the guts out and yank the wires without cutting the tube. But most people just want the connectors.
