manual switch for cleaning?
hi guys and gals, my e cigar wasnt quite working as well today, so i used the little button on it that sets the atomizer off, and its working much better now, only held it on for 5 seconds or so.
would the same thing work for all atomizers? and is this recommended to do?
also it looks like the ecigar has a ready built in manual switch! i just need to make something that fits in the little hole!

That's the beauty with the cigars. You choose when to do the cleaning cycle, not the battery.
The vapour on my Golden Shimmer had dropped a fair bit, even with a fresh battery and cartridge, so I went for the function recovery. Remove the cartridge and stick something small and metal in the function recovery hole for 10 seconds or so. Sorted my cigar out good and proper. Plumes of vapour again now, like it was when it was new.

I think the function of the cleaning cycle is to heat the the atomizer for a longer period than is usually allowed which is supposed to burn off some of the crud that has built up on the fibre within the atomizer. this burnt crud then causes the nasty taste but I'm not sure.

I think it is the fact that you've got the cart in, yes. When you notice an auto cleaning cycle kicking off remove the cart rather than unscrewing the battery. That should burn the crud off the atomiser without it tasting horrible afterwards.
