I use half white vinegar and half water, microwave them hot but not boiled then drop atts in for 1-3hrs for heavy draw cleaning. For just changing flavor i soak them in voka 151 everclear proof 75 for 5-15 minutes.

when my atts not producing good vapors, i use dry burn method then soak in voka.

These worked well for me, hope it work for you too!

i have done this type of thing too... i personally hate the aftermath of the alcohol in there afterwards even after letting attys sit overnight the alcohol taste doesnt go away... after dunking in everclear for a while i would dunk and rinse with distilled water... seemed to help... i haven't tried to clean any attys lately though. bought 10 cartomizers and hope i can get used to them.

You can save a lot of time and energy if you just use the search feature of the forum. I can't believe that all of you are reinventing the wheel over and over. Almost everything has been tried on atty cleaning. Search, read and learn from others.
