Fluval is a brand name of aquarium filter- It is found at Petsmart- other pet store type places may also sell it, As far as the best kind... Fluval works great for me in my 401... other people like poly-fil that comes from the craft store... Although you get more for the same or less $ amount than Fluval, I don't recommend it... Other people use Aquaclear filter which is like Fluval but is blue in color and a bit more dense... and others go for the PTB method (Pyramid Tea Bags by Lipton)- Depending on what type of unit you have may be dependent on which of these filler methods will work best for you... I was lucky enough to find what works for me w/ my 1st purchase... You may need to experiment- Fluval is about $8- for a box w/ 6 pads in it- This could literally last you a year at least or longer if this filler method is good for you... Liptons Pyramid Tea is about $4- a box (runs from $2.98- $3.99) Most Wal-Mart's will have it... & I am not sure how many PTB mod fillers you could get from that- Poly-fil is usually about $3-$5- a bag about the size of a bed pillow... Mind you again, I am a crafter... I use Poly-fil quite often for various things- I personally, would never use this as filler to vape liquid from... That is just me though- No one that currently uses it has reported any ill effects that I know of... Good Luck! Hope you find what works... Check out the thread w/ "ADP Mod" in the title... there is a cool technique using a ball point pen spring w/ Fluval/poly-fil- seems to be a new really nice way of getting more liquid than previously able... (I put Fluval/poly-fil there because everyone suggests poly-fil... it will work just as well w/ Fluval and that same method) HTH |

Not mentioned too often but Tulle from the fabric store works great. Just be sure there's no fire retardent or things like that in it.

PTB is way better than Fluval or Polyfill for a cartridge filler.

| I use Tulle from hobby lobby, better than PTB in my opinion..less prone to folding over where the wick hits it, it springs back better, maintains better contact, and holds insane amounts of juice with good wicking properties.

The tanks are just too huge... I use Fluval for those and it works great... Still I WOULD like to see a you tube showing hot to PTB fill an 801 | |

I do like the Fluval for my 801s but my only complaint is that it often sticks to the atty and pulls out of the cart when I take the cart out to top off... Messy, messy, messy...
