    Default blue foam 801

Does or has anyone tried this in an 801?

I did on my 510 and loved it but the 510 was not cutting the flavor mustard for me.

I remember someone saying they couldn't get it to work, but used blue foam to fill most of the 801 cart, with a "cap" of polyfill on top.

I suspect it's a question of getting the right compression -- if it's not squeezed a little, the blue foam just lets all the juice drain out, but if it's squeezed too tight it doesn't wick.

You might try a strip of foam underneath, and a "cap" of blue foam positioned the other way, cut a little bit bigger than the actual room. But given the nooks and crannies of the 801 cart, the foam might not fill them all. Something more fibrous and flexible like polyfill or wool might be better.

I will give the plug a go later just enjoying the messy monster vape action atm.

I did get a block of foam that is a pain to cut for 510 carts but might be easier in the 801.

Something I saw in Home Depot (or maybe Lowe's) that intrigued me, though I didn't buy it, was a replacement foam filter for a shop vac. Looked thick enough that it would fill up an 801 nicely. Maybe too thick.

I'm using the blue foam right now on a 801 cart. I cut a straw down the middle and put the half's back to back with a triangle cut on the bottoms of the straw half's, then put in the blue foam. Works for me. I fill with needle bottles.

    Dred,
Why don't you try that pen spring method...
My 401 is fine w/ Fluval but if I needed to try another method, I would try the pen spring (ADP as it is listed in the post)
I may try it on my 401 just to see if I can get longer vaping time w/o having to change carts or refill...
