I went to petsmart and got some fluval. I took an old cart, put in 6 drops of juice, inserted batting, topped of w/2more drops. Got 2 good draws than nothing. pushed the batting back down into the cart than back up to the edge, still nothing.I'm using a dse 901. Any guesses?

Chuck--the core needs to be moist. Fill till it is just about to pool on the top--but NOT POOLING--you do not have enough e-liquid in the new core for it to wick. A new core should take at least 1 ML (1.4 ml of e-liquid for penstyle new core)--So filler up--Hope that helps, Sun

loose fill
loose is the secret,
not stuffed tight,
it is there to hold the liquid and stop it flooding out,
too tight stuffed,
and it will not flow......

By Far the Best Way to Fill a Cartridge

Chuck--In my opinon, as well as many other members who have posted many times---without a doubt the best way to fill and refill a cartridge is with a syringe or an inkjet printer cartridge refiller (same think as a syringe with a blunt tip) You can get syringes from www.puresmoker.com or www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com --You stick it all the way down in the core and fill from the bottom up. Now you have a full cartridge without all the guess work. Just make sure to fill till the top is moist, but not pooling on the top. If you over did it and you have pooling, just backout with the syringe--Hope that Helps--Happy Vaping--Sun

Without making you go into to much detail for something I could probably figure out with some searching, is there a particular reason why this is the best way? I have a syringe, but I have been using igetcha's (EVO user tips video guide) method of pulling the stuffing out, putting drops in, putting the stuffing back in, etc. mainly just because that was how he did it in the video and it seemed logical

Chuck--Fill up the syringe to 1.5 ml, then insert it all the way down the core and fill till the top is moist and return the rest to the bottle. Works great every time--Hope that Helps--Sun
