I've got an m401 style from mirage and I was under the assumption that all the batteries used for these ecigs were li-ion. I emailed mirage to get the specs for the battery and he informed me that it was a 3.7v 150mah battery. This would mean that it is not a li-ion battery, but a li-po battery. I confirmed this with an r/c hobby charger. It will not charge the battery when I try to use the li-ion setting as it gives me a voltage error. This is because li-ion batteries are 3.6v per cell while li-po batteries are 3.7v per cell. I'm not sure about any of the other batteries out there, but the one I've got I'm pretty sure is a li-po battery and not a li-ion battery. I've also emailed intellicig about the evo as I have one of those in the mail and I can post the specs when I get them. I'm no expert on the subject, just goin by my experiences so far. |

(the charger works for both of em) |

Good point, it would not make sense to send two kinds of battery. How are you finding the voltage of each battery? I was going off of a table that came with the instructions for my charger. After doing some more reading, it looks like the nominal voltage for liion can be 3.6-3.7 volts while lipo sticks at 3.7v. I may have to give it another shot on the liion setting and see if it works.
