Default Refilling carts with a syringe

    Dull your needle for safety!
I have not seen this mentioned yet so I thought I might. As hypodermic needles are quite sharp and able to easily give you a shot of E-fluid by accident (Which I don’t think anyone wants.) It occurred to me that a good trick is to round off the tip of the needle with a file. Dulling the needle to enough that an inopportune sneeze doesn’t lead to an accidental injection is a very good idea and lets anyone who wants to inspect your kit know that it is only used for refilling.
Also, a curved tip syringe (All plastic tip syringe.) also works and makes a very good statement about your intentions. These are usually found in farm supply stores or your local veterinarian if you ask really nice.

Would it be possible for you to provide some websites where we can find these plastic tip syringes? Whenever I search for these syringes, I get results for only the body of the syringe and no needle.

Getting them online is kind of hard as they are technically “controlled” but if you want to know what they look like. Google: Monoject curved tip syringe and it will pop right up.

If your worried about needles i use needles from ink jet refilling kits. They are not as thin as hyperdermic needles, and unlikely to pierce the skin, ideal for cart refills.

    Hi All,

I use a syringe to fill all my carts. In the US syringes are very easy to get. You can buy syringes at any pharmacy. Just say you need a pack of (they usually come in tens) insulin syringes. If they give you a dirty look (...... Addicts) say it is for diabetes.

When they ask what kind you want, say you want either 1/2cc or 1cc

The 1 cc holds twice as much liquid but keep in mind that it is fatter (diameter) so refilling may be harder.

It should cost no more than 2-3 Bucks.

I was very insulted the last time I went to buy syringes for my e-liquid because that ignorant pharmacist slipped a brochure for HIV safety and ...... use and such...
I hope she smokes 2 packs of analogs a day!!!! muahahaha

I dont think they are show on the site. But you can get them from Tractor Supply company. They are really cheap, come in all different sizes. I dont think they come curved though. At least I havent seen them.

Insulin needles are usually only 1/2" long (not long enough to reach to the bottom of deep carts) and a small gauge. the one I am using is a SyrVet 3cc/ml with a 20 gauge 1" needle marked for veterinarian use only and it works great. If you measure out how much fluid your cart takes you can draw the exact amount and it makes filling a very fast operation.
I got mine at Coastal Farm and Ranch. I got a slightly strange look but that is because of my appearance. I dress well, in all black and wear a black Fedora. I could have gone in and bought a shovel and received the same look. They still never questioned why I needed the syringe. I have been buying syringes for years from farm stores, for various hobby and shop needs. I have still yet to be questioned.

I will be selling a kit with a 6cc syring w/ needle. You can use it with or without the needle and a small glass dropper bottle for 3 bucks on my site very soon. this is about a dollar over my cost.
