    Default question about dripping

I have a 510 and i'm interested in learning how to drip.
do you guys remove the cartridge altogether and leave the exposed atty bridge? It would be a complete PITA if you had to constantly remove the empty cartridge, drip 2 drops, reattach the cartridge, just to vape. and to do this every couple of draws?? definitely too much work and hassle.

so would drawing with no cartridge on the 510 atty be dangerous? MUST I reattach the empty cartridge?

You would need to replace the cart after dripping before you take a drag. If you didn't it would be like putting a hot car cigarette lighter into your mouth...

SKY...This is actually how I burn off my attys when they get flooded. I pull the carts off, and take a few draws with the cart off....No sense in wasting e-juice It will get very hot if you do it for long periods, but for short periods, I think you would be fine

I either use a cart that has no filler, (dummy cart), or I slip a tip on it.

I bought some shisha for smoking in a hooka at the local tobacco shop, in the shisha was a package of plastic tips for the hose, (look exactaly like the tips on a swisher sweet cigar)

They work pretty good, but will split up the side after a while.

What I've found that works best:

I bought the 510 to 801 adapter here
    http://www.shop.goodprophets.com/pro...9&categoryId=5

as well as an 801 atty. They work very well for dripping, and with the adapter it works great with my 510 passthrough.
(the 801 has a long chamber that carts slide into, then a seperate tip cap. If you leave the cart out, it make for easy dripping.)

Be carefull, the 801 is infamous for its throat hit. Even after vaping 26mg, the 11mg made me cough the first few times, and still does occasionaly.

I thought the 501 is reputed to have the best TH?
anyway, how many drops should I drip, and how often should I re-drip?

Two drops usually gets me 5-8 good drags. I know it's time for 2 more when I get reduced vapor/flavor or a slight taste of dry atty. When it's quiet I can actually hear that it's time as the sizzle fades way down.

With a freshly blown out (dry) atty I sometimes put 4 drops or more to get it going, but only 2 at a time after that. I flooded it a few times in my first few attempts but haven't in the past couple weeks (knock on wood).

On the round carts, the end with the little hole is a cap you can pop off. Below that in the 'juice resevoir' is another circular piece of plastic with a hole in it. It pops out too. Take a drill, and drill out the rectangular section that holds the fiber. Now your cart is a tube you can drip through, no need to take it off/put it on.

Edit: You could simply draw through the atomizer. Done constaintly, your lips would absorb the heat keeping it from getting too hot... but then you're dealing with a metal mouthpiece. Better to drill through the cart and keep the plastic on the end.

thanks for the replies. Dripping seems to work on my 510, and when TH diminishes, I know its time to put another 2 drops in. one question: I see some people remove the wick inside. What are the pros and cons for doing so? thanks

Better to remove it when dripping cause it will burn and give a nasty taste if it remaind dry

    thanks Dkrom.
Please let me know if I have this about right:
    - drip 4-5 drops on an atty to prime it
    - when the flavor drops, add 2 drops each time
    - Each 2 drops can last approx 5-10 drags, correct?
