First, thanks for the "CCFM" -Carto Cap Filler Method. Now, couldn't you use the same method for carto cleaning? Use vodka or Everclear instead of e juice, overfill the carto slightly and then set aside with the cap left on, while filling others. Then just come back around after about 15-20 minutes and blow them out. You would have total saturation and I would think the alcohol would cut any syrupy grime. Just a thought. Will try this soon and let you know.

If this has already been posted elsewhere, I apologize. Still a bit of a noob, here.

Yes you could, I tried it and it sort of worked, but it just didn't flush it very well, I was using a very thick VG liquid at the time though.

I tried boiling a batch and the results were very good. Good if you have time and are doing lots. (just remember to take the plastic mouth-caps off first.)

I just swirled some around in hot tap water, flushed with cold and it worked sort of ok, it freshened them up a bit but didn't totally clean them.

I tried the syringe method in the vid, and it totally flushed every little drop of residue/flavour out, I do give them a suck-through with vodka first, then carefully with hot water, then firmer with cool.
It is quite quick and easy and to me gets the best result.

Also I have found giving them a reverse Tayrn Spin, is a great way to get the liquid out first. ie: put carto cap half on mouth end and spin it around forcing the liquid out - into the cart-cap.(thanks Leaford)

Also it is a great way to dry them after cleaning, just spin without caps on.

I dont do the spin when filling, only when cleaning.

Saving money is a pastime of mine.. Why save a dime when you can save a dollar?

I really don't understand how you or anyone else can save money by cleaning cartos......Cartos are made as a disposable device/product....So no matter how many time you try to bring it back to life it will not work.....And if it does work, it will only last for a few more times at best.....You are wasting money by cleaning them....Let me explain.....TIME IS MONEY.....Sorry if i offended anyone here Just my 2 Cents worth

well have you ever refilled a normal cart? you can buy new prefilled ones every time, and alot of people market them as a disposable device/product.
    eg. Ryan V8 with 50 pre-filled carts.
Most find that they can be re-filled and re-used many times, it is the same for carto's.... as long as you dont burn them they can be refilled many times (I refilled one at least 60 times) the main problem with re-using them is the filler gets a bit stale (doesn't hold juice as well) and if changing flavors residue can remain from the old flavors (just like normal carts), so just wash them and they are almost as good as new.

I use about 8-12 cartos worth a day, so I dont like the idea of using once and throwing away, and if they are still performing well and tasting good why not keep re-using them?

Time is money.... so finding a quick and easy way to fill and clean them makes cents and saves dollars, I can clean and re-fill 20 cartos in a few minutes, much quicker than ordering more new ones, time and money saved!

We are not trying to "bring it back to life" either, just maintaining a good and clean performance level.

If I was a very light vaper, I probably wouldn't bother so much as the savings in time and money wouldn't be so significant, but vaping as I do, it just makes sense.

Use one 5 times, it costs you 30c per use. If you use 2 per day, that's costing you about $18 per month. If you can maintain and use them 15 times, that's only 10c per use and $6 per month. Using this example, you can save $144 per year. It does add up.

That's a lot of cartos. Multiply the savings by 4 and that's about $50 per month and close to $600/yr.

Only if you are doing something you're getting paid for... or will get a financial benefit from.

If it's between cleaning some cartos or watching another Seinfeld rerun... yeah, I can see why people do it.

Also here in Australia we never know when the next shipment might not get through. Hasn't happened to me yet but I like to maintain a certain level of independence and comfort in the knowledge that at any time I could probably make my current stash of cartos, carts and liquid last me a year!!

And if that's not excuse enough I just like to fiddle!! I like to beat the system. I like to make it myself. I just like it OK!!!

i just tried using a syrynge that you would use for a turkey to inject with maranade, i put the rubber piece on the end (without the needle) then placed cart over the rubber piece and used the the syringe to suck and push warm or hot water through the cart then used it to blow dry it out , works wonderfuly!
