    I do 3.7 volts with 18650 batteries on a standard 2.3 ohm 510 atomizer.

I get it to an orange glow and keep it there as long as I want, with no pulsing needed.
As far as I can tell 3.7 volts will never get a 2.3 ohm standard 510 atomizer above orange no matter what.

I have never killed an atomizer in over 15 months of using dry burning as my sole cleaning method.

And in that time, I am only on my second atomizer.
My first one having suffered an unnatural end due to falling asleep on the button.

And even that didn't kill it, just caused a burnt plastic taste that I could not get out.

is the 30 second burn the limit? ive used this method on my 510 attys with either my 3.7 mod or my 5v PT and for some reason i will get to the point where i get no more "smoke" or "popping" from the gummed up juice until i hit the 30 second mark. Will it damage the atty to let it go past this mark? or am i to rinse and repeat until i get no more smoke in the 30 second timeframe?

No time limit,as long as the atty does not get past the orange glow stage(hit the button in pulses instead of holding it on) it should not pop(fuse). If smoke is coming out there is still gunk in there.
Sometimes the smoke will come from the water-eliquid mix left in the mesh being vaporized in the coil.I f you have time i find it is better to fully dry the atty after each rinsing.Great way to do this is to balance the atty on top of a lit (not too powerful) lightbulb and leave it there for a while. This also helps getting the atty to vape perfect after cleaning,if there is water in the mesh it sometimes takes a while to get it working consistently.

Or put it in the oven at 150 for 20 minutes.

Or just hold down the button on your PV for a few seconds...

Very true, as this method can attest too.

But I find that I am not taking it far enough, getting the atomizer dry enough.
So I do have a small period of time with poor performance before the water is fully gone.

I attribute this fear of going "all the way" to the fear of harming my atomizer somehow.
And when I say somehow, I mean in a way that some people talk about but I still have not experienced.

And yet, I still have that fear, because of what the anti-dry-burners keep on saying.
Even though I'm pretty sure they are wrong.

doesn't work as well with my atty of choice (306)... still leaves quite a bit of moisture down below the coils in the mesh.

Yeh, anti-dry burners... they're fun. I just chalk it up to contempt prior to investigation... I've popped an atty or two, but it was my fault. I was careless. I have atties that have been running for months, still vaping perfectly... thanks to this method.

So, I base my opinions off of my own experience... especially when the topic has so many varied opinions...
