New M40x Cartridge Design? in E-Cigarette Technical; I don't know if this has been posted before, so delete if needed.
I was trying to refill my M401 ...

Very interesting! Anyone with the Evo, is this the new Evo style cart insert?
-
Wow that seems like it can hold more liquid than the normal M40X cartridges. Did you get those from absolutelyecigs?

that definitely looks like a far better design!

I just got my first machine Thursday and noticed the same thing. Mine is a smoore 401 I got from absolutlycigs.

Sweeeeet! I haven't bought new Evo carts since I got the 25 with the black kit some weeks ago and they're nothing like that. Looks great!

It looks like an interesting design but it does seem to me that this design would potentially cause more liquid in the mouth.
This one has 3 wings on the side, meaning that liquid has much more room to seep into the outer cart and into the mouth. My impression of the little stem on the bottom is to create a little more space for more air to vaporise the liquid.
Correct me if i'm wrong here.

There still is a 'stem' to create space between the inner cart and mouthpiece. It is just permanently attached to the inside of the mouthpiece now.
You aren't getting how the capillary action would work. The liquid prefers a corner or 'edge' to seep along (ask any siding or roofing contractor about that). The wings do not start until 1/3 of the way down the cart. The top lip is at least 2MM from any other edge or surface. Hence no way for the cart - unless it is overfilled - to leak.
Try an experiment with one of your carts. Fill it up (with water) then hold it upside down being careful not to touch the open lip. The liquid happily stays inside due to surface tension & the batting. Now take a toothpick or staple and touch the open lip on the top (now on the bottom). You can get a nice stream of water going down the stick. If no 'edges' touch the lip, the fluid should stay inside the chamber. I think the longer, slender shape helps too
No liquid has got out, and I tried. I 'puffed' into the cig before dragging. I knocked it around alot. I even placed it upside down with a full cart for 5 minutes then took a drag. Clean as a whistle.
Someone should compare one of these to the old style and see which holds more liquid.

Ohhh, I want some! I get a terrible reaction when I get e-liquid in my mouth, my throat goes all tight and feels swollen up, it's awful.

I know from the packaging that abettersmoke.com is using Smoore kits. That fancy 'E' logo is the factory one. I would hazard that their carts would be the same that I got, if they ordered not too long ago.
Can we get a confirmation from puresmoker or abettersmoke as to if they have this new style of cart available?
Otherwise, you *can* get them from absolutelyecigs.com (the manufacturer). Shipping is EMS/USPS Express Mail combo and only takes a week. Have to get through customs though. YMMV.
