Okay, your post has gotten me to think seriously about my chain vaping.

Does anybody know approximately how much liquid fits in a refilled cartomizer? I use the KR808D-1 and refill the carts with 15-18 drops of liquid. I read somewhere on this forum that a refilled cart is equivalent to about 5-7 cigarettes?

Anyway, I smoked roughly one pack of cigarettes a day for more than 30 years (give or take periods of abstinence-LOL). That would be roughly 20 mgs a day, right?

Since quitting analogs I have been chain vaping. I am using 2 18 mg carts and 1 24 mg cart a day. At 1 ml each, that would come to 60 mg a day!! Can that be right?

Do you think 18 drops = 1 ml of liquid? A 10 ml bottle seems to last longer than that.

    Now, I am worried...

I got my 510 four days ago. I have only put it down when entering someplace that I think might have an issue with it. Stores, etc.

I'm vaping 11mg Velvet Vapor juice, menthol, with the occasional drop of 24mg Marl from MadVapes.
I haven't gotten the nicotine OD symptoms that i used to get with the nico-gum (I forget you're not supposed to chew it like regular gum...)
I AM a little worried about my eventual juice costs... That, and constant use CAN'T be good for the atty... And, if i keep this up, I will have charged the batteries the 200-300 times they can live through, within the next month...

Gawd, I love this thing... NO analogues since the first battery was done charging.

apart from sitting at my computer and using my 510 PT i really only ever vape when i'm in a situation where a cigarette would have been used. Bonfires with my friends, before and after work, driving etc. It's not so much the Nic fix that i'm looking for anymore. My best friend and i started smoking around the same time and it brought us closer, i guess you could say. He's away at basic so i'm left pretty much alone now so i vape in memory of him because each time i do it feels like i'm sitting right next to him. He's not dead but i don't know when the next time i'll see him is so its just been rough lately. What a time to try and quit analogs >.<

    Red face Re: chain vaping

I was a pack a day analog smoker for 40+ years, but only chain smoked when drinking. Now approaching 2 years on e-cig only, I have gone from 1ml/day to 3.

I think the ability to vape anywhere has a lot to do with it, but another factor is how darn tasty some of the flavors are (especially since discovering MsT's Bananas Foster!!!).

It is no longer about "smoking"...now it is all about zero calorie desserts all day long!

personally i dont want to be off nicotine, i mean in search of a healthier life i had given up all but cigarettes and then i did that too, been vaping for a while and i havent lowered the nicotine or vaped less or anything (i vape constantly while at the computer) i mean i dont really find a need to anymore, though i did think i would wean myself off it at one point but i can run now, i feel healthy as i ever have and can do baisically anything i want to now (
and my lungs dont hurt while doing it) i find no need for myself to wean myself down or anyhting, but maybe thats just me

I've started counting my puffs and trying to limit them to the same as a cigarette, but I usually loose track.
I have been vaping for two weeks now and experimenting with the number of puffs and time between vapes. I was never a hard core smoker but I have always liked the buzz. This is the reason I like vaping...buzzing without the tars and chemicals. I also know that you can get too much of a good thing, possibly overdose, etc. The first sign I am vaping too much is I tend to get jittery. Through experimenting here is what I have come up with to date. 3 to 4 healthy drags per session does the trick without the jitters. And that's it for a another few hours. In this way I preserve the buzz each time and get no jitters. I usually have my 'sessions' five or six times a day. Definitely after meals and at breaks at work, and during my favorite television programs. But you really need to be disciplined. The true enjoyment of any pleasure is always a discipline. Moderation, that nasty word, is the key to preserving the pleasures of any activity we enjoy. Also puffing 25-30 good draws a day in 6 or 7 sessions lengthens the time the cart lasts and costs less in the long run.

Keep in mind though that I was never a hard core smoker so I don't have years of chain smoking or two pack-a-day habit to deal with. I am just offering my view on using vapes as a pleasure.

When we smoked analogs we usually smoked the entire cigarette because it was lit and it was there and prolly long after we got our nicotine fix. With vapes we don't need to smoke as long because we get our fix in a few puffs and can quit right then. The ancient Chinese had a saying: limitation means stopping as soon as one is pleased. It is good to keep this in mind.
