Default Simple and effective way to boost cart performace.

Just discovered a brilliant and simple cartridge mod for my new pen-style.

I got thinking that the cart was poorly deluvering the liquid to the wick even when nearly full and decided to find out why.

My conclusion was that the absorbant wool was only making contact with the tip of the wick which in a pen-style atomizer protrudes quite far and pushes the wool down into the cart, once the cart is used past this point of contact a bit then delivery is very slow.

So... I pulled out the wool part way out of the cart and then cut out a groove in the center to fit the wick, then pushed it back in flush level with the edge so it was no longer pushed down. Now the wick is surrounded by the wool all over and so there is maximum contact with the wool and liquid.

The result? Bloody amazing. It works nearly as well as dripping without the hassle. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

That's interesting. When you have been vaping for a while do you get any problems with melting cart fibre/burnt fibre taste?

i take a straightened paperclip and swirl a hole in the middle of the wool..getting a bit wider everytime till its about the size of the wick of the atomizer

look inside the atomizer so you can determine the size

Glad it helped even more with your 901. I am getting the new EM901 from EastMall soon which takes big 1ml carts anybody try this?

I tried the other suggestion digging a hole in the centre all the way down and this works just as well possibly better so thanks everyone for brainstorming on this one.

Just tried an additional mod: I melted a tiny hole on the outside of the cart near the bottom (closed end fitting into the mouthpiece). T

he idea is to allow air to seem in because as the liquid is wicked out of the cart through the wool it needs to be replaced by air. So the wait time between sessions for the liquid to wick out of the cart is partly improved by a tiny hole which allows air in behind the liquid relieving the vacuum created as it is drawn out to feed the atomizer.

Liquid slowly oozes out of the hole just after topping up but seems fine once loaded up, no liquid in the mouth

Not sure but I think it has helped, hard to tell which one is working best beacuse I'm using both mod together.

Note: I think this work especially well in Super Mini carts which are much narrower so this pressure is higher, someone test it out
