Default Dogs' NF Carto Mod (KR8 Atty)(510 vertical atty)

Worried about burning tea-bags, aquarium foam, polyester, fluval or cotton in your lungs?
    Sick of juice-mouth syndrome?
Sick of dripping every 4-5 puffs?
Sick of just fooling and tweeking with these damn things?

    Check this out.

    YouTube - CartosFTW

    1. Pop top and remove o-ring
    2. Remove carto filler by gently rocking it to-and-fro, then twist it out(but be careful to make sure the inner 'sock' remains around the heating element, as this acts as the wick.
    3. Drip anywhere from 5-15 drops in.
    4. Vape.

I let the video run until my batts went flat, I left the audio alone so you can hear my drags, I counted about 140 big 6v puffs... but if the batts kept going I am sure I would have go many more.

This is my all day vape set-up and it never lets me down.

Some times you can get a burned 'sock' taste, if you really over-do it or if it is running dry.

I have been doing this for a few months now, and have heard a few people mention it since, so I will try to find them and acknowledge them to.

Sorry about the dead space around the 1:50 mark, I was going to do a 510 carto and oly had my 510 thread cap, so I had to run and grab my KR8 cap.

It is slighly more difficult with the 510 hard cartos as they seem to be packed tighter and the element and/or sock can be pulled up with the filler, or the element could break. (hasn't happened to me yet)

As long as the element is not pressing against the side, the carto should not get hot, so tail-piping is good, but you could put a 510/901/801 soft-tip or even a drip tip or the good 'ol carto cap with hole.

I had been going to do this vid back in feb/march then abby182000 posted pretty much this method as well, so I want to acknowledge her post of this idea as well.
    gutted kr808 cartomizer
I am sure I read some other post about the same time from someone else that was doing a similar thing.. I will keep looking for it.

excellent way for a "cheap" 901 drip atty... I have been using this for 15 minutes and its a great especially since I have tons of cartos... and dripping tips

yeah sorry about the cat! He thought he was getting fed, and was most angry with me for making him wait.

The only thing that can go wrong is breaking the element whilst trying to pull the filler out, or having the inner sock come out with it too.

Even overfilling it is hard, as the inner stem makes the carto bottom act as a reservoir.

    Good luck.

I'm a little confused as to how this works.

What keeps the liquid from running out the battery end of the cart? Or from the mouth end if you turn it upside down?

Seems like a good idea if you're just dripping 3-4 drops and vaping for 10 minutes, but it seems to me like 15 would cause liquid to run out everywhere!

Once you yank a carto apart it is easy to see the nomenclature of how this works.
Ubuntu is an African word meaning, "Slackware is too hard for me."

they sort of look like this, with the filler removed. There is a stem in there that alows the juice to pool in the bottom without leaking. It will leak if you put 15 drops in it and then turn it upside down, but if you are watching a movie or something just squirt a bit at a time in, I can still lay mine down horizontally and it wont leak. I will do another vid tonight addressing these issues.

This really does work quite well. I'm not a real big fan of the cartos especially the filler but this may change my mind about them. Thanks!

Dogsbody, you have so many tricks with cartos and you tried them all... what's the best and only one you're using every day ?
