I use the Roll your own cigarette filters they work great for me . I am using a 901. you can buy 200 filters for about 3 bucks and one filter lasts a couple of days . I find that it is density is perfect , keeps the liquid on the surface , plus you can draw as strong and long as you want and not get a mouth full of liquid.
With a fresh filter , I drip a few drops on the atomizer , then fill the filter until it starts to puddle a little . then when refilling a couple of drops in the atty and fill the filter till puddles and it last a good amount of time. not as long as a the preloaded carts , but no liquid in the mouth , no bad burnt taste ,, works for me .

    Default Filler

I also picked up the filler from wally world. i picked up the batting and just love it. I tried the teabags for about a week and liked them but they always seemed to collapse. The batting has been the bomb. just the right vap, just the right flavor. thanks for the info.

That's why I've taken it upon myself to design a completely new dispensing system that could be used to replace all of these wicks/fillers in various cart models. The exception to the rule would be those that have the atomizer and wick contained in one component. This new system will be extremely sanitary, fire proof, melt proof, fray proof, etc. It will be somewhat expensive to manufacture compared to what we're used to in OEM cart fillers but it should last a very long time and of course be reusable via a simple rinse with warm water.

I can't really go into much more detail yet because at this point it's just on paper. Within the next few weeks I should be ready for a few 'beta' testers. Btw, what's a beta tester called when it comes to testing hardware as opposed to software? Guinea pigs? Don't fret though - there should be no safety issues to concern anyone with.

If it all works out to what my schematics suggest this new system could even convert the most devout drippers back to using carts. Wouldn't it just be heaven to have a happy medium between cart topping and dripping via a built in mechanism without all the hassle? Not to mention less stress on the atomizer while holding liquid that is dispensed consistently till the last drop.
Whats the word on this new style cart?

The "tea filter paper" is what makes a "bag" which contains the tea, so why you "ROTFLMAO" everytime you see "teabags" eludes me. That is what they are, with or without the tea???

I may be a little "juvenile" too but it's, etc., etc., etc., not "ect,ect,ect"......

Note: "Hence on", I will not try to correct anyone's spelling, grammar, etc.. I live in a glass house!!! :-)

    ......... teabag, teabag, teabag..........

I like the using the rolled up tea bags.
Got like 4 of those huge boxes of Lipton, which would take 2 lifetimes to drink, so I figured I would try it and it works great

Lovin it. Thanks to whoever discovered the teabag

I have a bag of 200 analog filters and they fit into my 510 perfectly. They soak up TONS of liquid, at least 12-14 drops. They stay really moist for a lot longer. Their performance outlasted the Janty prefilled carts so I'm happy with that.

You just have to make sure it doesn't dry out cause it can get crispy and it will most definitely taste like a burnt filter. But for a couple bucks, you have 200 pre cut and perfect sized cartridge fillers.

    Default Steel wool cart mod

I tried 000 (tripe zero) and 00 steel wool instead of the usual synthetic cotton (Fluval) and it seems to conduct the atty heat into the card a bit, resulting in a bit more vapor. Not too much heat, as the straw mod still works. It sort of turns the whole cart into an extension of the atty's metal wick.
It's not very elastic, so it tends to stay compressed, so try fluffing it and insert with care.
I tried it with my 901 cart, but it should work for any.

PS: I washed the steel wool with alcohol (vodka) before using it, just to stay on the safer side.
