Cartridge filler materials

the tea bag seems like a good idea, I am going to try that when I get home. I bought that poly fiber from Walmart, and I differently had a different taste than the blank carts I was using.

Poked around Amazon with searches for "empty tea bag" and found some. They seem to be called by a variety of names. Tea filters seems popular.
Two I looked at both listed cellulose and hemp as the material.
The Adagio Teas Paper Filters looks pretty good. A review notes they are large, too.

I have been using lollypop stick (dum drums) and with a razor or pen knife cutting short lengths and inserting them into my 901 carts. Works even better when the end touching the atomizer is cut into smaller spits (hard to expliain but it's common sense) this maybe killing my atomizer a tiny bit, but the knowledge that I won't have to pull the polyester wick off is good for me. very easy to do and the wick action is fairly good when the lolly pop stick is saturated

Using a lollipop stick is alot like using a zippo wick like I suggested in the other area today

Here is what i tried with the standard Lipton tea bag...

Removed the string and staple at top of bag and emptied contents.

Laid remaining paper flat and cut a strip from the entire length of the paper and rolled into a small tube

Inserted paper tube into an empty KB cart and trimmed to fit

Used the end of a paper clip to loosen the center of the paper tube so it would fill the cart better.

Added 50 (Not a typo....50!) drops of Janty RY4 liquid to the cart and decided to stop there even though the cart was not completely full.

After the first couple of pulls, the atomizer sounded flooded, so I removed the cart and inserted a mouthpiece and vaped until the atomizer started drying out, then reinserted the cart and it has been vaping for over 5 hrs. so far!!!

Incredibly Ingenius Idea!!!! So simple yet So effective!!!

Gonna try the coffee filter paper idea next. I wanna find the material that wicks the best, leaving the cart virtually empty of liquid.

This is by far the best idea I've run accrossed for a cart repacking material yet!!!! Thanks for sharing a great idea with all us Newbs!

How many more weird things can I buy for my new habit? They will be useful for loose tea and other herbal extractions.

I too have tried the teabag thing (boy does that sound wrong on so many levels) and it works great, better vapor and everything. Great idea. 99cent store sells tea by the way.

Don't go there. I find myself checking out the cosmetics shelves for cases and tweezers and suchlike, the toy shelves for novelties that might be adaptable to vaping usage, the kitchen supplies for containers and mixing tools ...

Going grocery shopping is a whole new adventure these days.

So what's the verdict should i use it you know we been using fish filler 100% poly teabag(he-he) or 100% poly I've been dipping to avoid the fibers.Your post has always been good is the past.

Started using a lipton teabag @ about 11am , it"s now 11:10 pm. I have topped off 3 times (about 10 drops each time). I"m using my SD w/a 901 atm. This is easily the smoothest best tasting method I have tried,each draw is very consistant W/great vapor. This filler beats..papertowels,coffee filters,wallmart poly,fish filters and factory carts easily!
The last thing I'm gonna do,is put a drink straw down the inside of the cart to see if the added air flow will wick the last bit of liquid out of the cart. Many thanks again Pete......Chuck

I haven't read through all 88 pages of this thread to see if this has been tried, but a friend of mine and I have used the heads of Q-Tips to replace the cartridge material with good success.
