YOU AGREE that the E-cigarette information on this website is provided on the strict understanding that use of Ecigarettes in any way is neither proven safe nor proven safer than cigarettes.

The use of Electronic Cigarettes may entail risk and such risk is entirely that of the user and not attributable to ECF. No liability extends in any way to ECF by the use of e-cigarettes or by use of the Website resources or other websites reached via ECF. Persons who do not accept in full the risks of using such products or ECF resources must leave this site immediately.

ECF does not support or condone the continued use or habit or custom of ingestion of any substance by any means and the presence of materials or products on this Website for use in the ingestion of any substance is for research or for evaluation purposes for occasional use.

No warranty or guarantee in any form is offered for any service or information or product published on this Website. Consumers should consider any product or use of any advice seen on the Websie as unsafe unless advised otherwise by a suitable professional.


2. Definition

ECF deems e-cigarettes to be an alternative smoking method for consumers and no materials of any kind published on ECF in any way by any person may alter this definition.


3. Use by smokers only

Ecigarettes should not be purchased or used except by persons who are already smokers of tobacco products. There is no evidence that ecigarettes are either safe or safer than cigarettes and the user assumes all risk in the use of such devices.

There is no evidence that ecigarettes are a successful method of harm reduction for smokers or that they can be used to reduce tobacco dependency. ECF does not advocate the use of ecigarettes for such purposes and advises that you consult your doctor in person to discuss the use of ecigarettes.

Users should know that the use of ecigarettes as an additional or alternative method of nicotine consumption or for zero-nicotine use is unproven as regards safety. There may be risks and the user assumes all risks, and releases and indemnifies ECF against any or all such risks. The website may only be used by persons who agree that the risk is theirs and not that of ECF.


4. Mods

Modified or custom-built ecigarettes, also known as mods, must be used in accordance with the instructions of the supplier.

Only rechargeable batteries must be used in mods.

Only safe-chemistry batteries such as Li-Mn cells should be used in mods.

Protected, rechargeable Li-ion batteries may be used but there is an increased risk.

Unprotected Li-ion batteries or non-rechargeable batteries (primary cells) must not be used in mods.

Unless the supplier provides evidence to the contrary, they have no product liability insurance or safety testing certification or approvals for their products.

Use of mods is entirely at the discretion of the buyer and the buyer assumes all and any risk. ECF assumes no liability for correct or incorrect use of these devices. Buyers should know that mods have potentially more risk than standard ecigarettes, due to the inclusion of a larger battery or multiple batteries. Incorrect use presents real risk, and there is no evidence that even correct use is without risk.

ECF ADVISES THE USE OF Li-Mn RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES ONLY. All batteries must be used with due care and safety precautions must be observed.


5. Safety

The use of ecigarettes and therefore the consumption by inhalation of atomized e-liquid is not tested by documented and recognised medical research as being a safe practice.

Additionally, unless a supplier provides evidence to the contrary, there can be no assumption that e-liquids contain safe materials for inhalation or even that the constituents are known, measured or analysed. ECF assumes no liability for correct or incorrect use of e-liquid by inhalation. There is no evidence that such use is safe and the buyer assumes all risk for such usage.


6. Product approval

ECF DOES NOT APPROVE any products in any way whatsoever. Publication of the details of or references to products, or the advertising thereof, or of practices or procedures, does not entail approval by ECF in any way.

ECF considers all products related to e-cigarettes and e-liquid to have an associated risk. The user must assume that risk and the user holds ECF harmless.


7. Other websites

ECF has no control over the content of other websites. Content on other websites is not approved or recommended by ECF IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. ECF does not and cannot regulate the content of other websites. ECF cannot control content on other sites or decide if it is safe or not.

NO OTHER WEBSITE IS RECOMMENDED OR APPROVED BY ECF IN ANY WAY.

ECF DOES NOT APPROVE THE CONTENT OR PRODUCTS SEEN ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE IN ANY WAY.

8. Local laws

ECF does not enforce local laws because such laws differ according to location and ECF is a global website. ECF CANNOT DETERMINE if the content of any website whether the ECF website or any other website is legal in the jurisdiction of the website or the visitor, and ECF DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER for determining such legality. You must determine the meaning and application of your local laws yourself.

E Cigarette Forum is a trading name of EC Forum Limited (ECF), a company incorporated in and operating in England. All communications with, transactions with and sales by EC Forum Limited shall be governed exclusively by English law and the parties to it agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. EC Forum Limited owns and operates internet websites including www.e-cigarette-forum.com. All references in these Terms and Conditions to the ‘The Website’ shall refer to www.e-cigarette-forum.com. All references in these Terms and Conditions to ‘you’ shall refer to any user of The Website.
