Its interesting to note that Trog has been Banned and The Screwdriver appears to be being slated with no recourse for reply from either the inventor or the supplier. Ie Myself.


TROG (ted) A friend of mine and a very honest and decent guy has asked me to post some off his thoughts seen as he cannot himself.. see Below.

"the screwdriver story is a simple one.. its the product that changed the e smoking world.. its now become an iconic product.. the fact that the SLB factory decided to produce their own version also speaks for itself..

its the product they all set out to beat.. in limited ways some have.. but for the purpose it was originally designed and sold to do none have..

it was the worlds first e smoking device that did not set out to ape a tobacco product..

it was the worlds first e smoking device built for long term cost effective heavy usage..

it has its own special hold your hand support.. nothing else has..

people have owned and been using it as their primary device for over a year now.. there is no reason why in anothers years time they wont still be using it..

it really is an e smoking icon.. it lead the way others followed or in their own limited way tried to.. ..

without the screwdriver none of the others would exist.. including the SLB look and feel copy..

it will be interesting to see who survives this coming scenario.. i am sure the chinese will.. i doubt many of the western "mod" makers will.. imao the greek dude seems to be the only one with enough sense to see whats coming..

whats coming is the chinese decimation of the western "mod" makers.. none of the current american devices will be around in a years time.. their supporters and fanboys will all be buying the cheap chinese screwdriver copy..

will the thing that started it all still be around.. possibly but that depends on whether pedigree and true value is appreciated or it isnt..

As the Guy who Sells the Sd "Screwdriver MKII" i also think my input would be valuable, but unfortunately on this type of platform it becomes impossible to engage others on none company related threads.

It makes me smile that all the experts appear with opinions based on in general a few months experience of the E.Smoking world. I was not the first to find , then start selling eCigs, but i was one of the first.

Ted spoke to me in March 2008 about his idea for the device that is now the ICONIC SD. I agree with him in totallity, with out the SD other Mods might never have appeared.

Big Deal you might say.. Maybe big deal it is.. maybe big deal it isnt though.. I took Trogs Sd with me to my main supplier in China last December, it has taken 10 months to perfect it.. It is a fabulous E.Smoking device.

Most mods i have seen, and bought and tried are clumsy, burn atomisers out, look cheap and i would not use.. There is the odd exception.. But its minority not the majority..

The Screwdriver might not be for Mr Hardcore, look at me with my huge device and powerful battery.. But its certainly a much more elegant product for everyone.. Heavy user or light user, new vaper or old.

Another thing about the HOO HAA on here that i take with the contempt it deserves are the posts from certain members, that have axes to grind.

With success comes jealousy.. The Screwdriver MKII is and will continue to be a success for 2 main reasons.

The first the product speaks for itself, the second is my companies will look after its market place.

I agree pillbox not to many people are aware of the history and affect the SD had on the ecig world. I have never owned one, but it is easy to say that it is a high quality product.
and though the china knock off may become popular it will not come close to the quality of the SD.

I am sure alot of comments here are out of ignorance,but in a small defense comments may have been caused by a few posts from said misunderstood poster..which still may mean its "newbee" ignorance

And yes I doubt many of the western "mod" makers will survive, but you can't ignore or deny credit to some...the pv has gone a long way in such a short time and there are a lot of excellent craftsmen out there that sweat is put into every piece.

but to conclude my post

My hats offf.... credit is definately due and in the "e-cig world" you have to thank the past for the presents acheivements

I would not however discount the commercial motives of some posters, the SD is a threat (So is any other Great mod) to their or their associates business.

I have no issue with constructive criticism, but destructive product bashing is outrageous.. IMHO

It is getting to the point on this Forum that the management of it might be in danger of being accused of letting their forum become a libellous place.

Outrageously offensive posts i will be reporting, if I fail to get blatant defamatory comments removed, I will instruct a lawyer... ECFs call really..

The SD is Sleek, Sexy, Comfortable to hold and Simply Works

I am not saying that because I am a Mod on the SD forum but as a buyer who is completely satisfied with the device, been vaping for over a year with it and the service I have received from both you and Trog .

Jason by the way has not a clue when I buy from him as the email and ID I use to buy from TW shop is different to the one I use on the SD or TW forum.

Your Mystery shopper is very impressed with the service received and occasional freebies you send out

Thanks Keef, like my business the Screwdriver will stand or fall on its own Merit.. It will be aided and Abetted with every ounce of spirit i have in me behind it..


In many respects although its Trogs Design and essentially his product i see it also as mine, ive been with it before the idea was birthed..In fact i thought it was a nonsemse when Ted and Matt started to tell me about their idea for a long lifed device.

Shows how wrong i was..

But im not wrong that the Sd will outsell every other Mod on the Market...And users will be glad they have one.. The MKII is better than the MK1, by a long way..

But Remember the MK1 was and is excellent.
