Also went to Kona and you sir are correct, the airport is basically a mini Hawaiian village with shops, bars etc... surrounding a(large) open courtyard where you wait to board ( no jetways you walk outside to the planes), so I asked where we can smoke? Outside security, walk across 4 lane road and your fine!! | |

Just got back from LA and vaped all the way there and back. I had no problem in Indy or LAX with either taking my ecig through security or in checked bag. (Yes I stashed some in both just in case) I vaped in both airport terminal waiting areas and noone said a word. I flew Northwest and sitting in the rear of the plane had no problem vaping in restroom or seat. But I was VERY discreet and sitting by the window. Great trip - Thanks to my e-cigs |

I have now experienced the 'cage' at East Midlands. It wasn't so bad at all - it's a covered area, lets the sun in and the air through, and is massive. Miles better than the grotty rooms at Nashville and Vancouver of yesteryear (I'm sure both are gone now!). I bet loads of airports could open up similar outdoor areas after security. They'd make tons more cash from smoking travellers not waiting until the last minute to go through security - which would more than pay for any building alterations! |

This is slightly OT but here in Seattle we cannot even smoke in the Ferry lines outside as the smoke can waft into someone else's vehicle, which is a valid point, I don't even allow smoking in my own car. The other day I vaped in line and immediately got 2 people yelling "No Smoking, a$$hole!". I didn't feel like educating several cars of people so I just stopped. I guess Snus would be a good backup for a lot of situations like these. CoderGuy |
