I noticed as well that most hotels are non smoking. During check in the hotel forms indicate a $200 charge if you smoke in any room.
I no longer need or want smoking rooms, they are hard to find anyway. Now it does not matter!
Love it.

Be careful where your room is located. Everyone goes outside to smoke. If your room is near an exit door, the AC / Heat will suck in the analog smell. If you smell it, be sure to go to the front desk right away and report it, so they don't smell it, and charge you. It's happened before.

Staying in a non-smoking room in a first class hotel is one of the things I'm most looking forward to, now that I'm a vaper. It will be heavenly!!!
And with this post, I will finally be able to put up my smoke free meter...yeah!!!

Hey Jan...had my 1st experience vaping in a non-smoking room over the 4th of July weekend. It was NICE not having to get on the elevator and go down 8 floors to smoke!

vapor
Does vapor make smoke detectors go off?
I doubt it.
I always thought smoke made detectors go off?
There must be something we can add to our liquids to make the vapor invisible ?

1- When I have a crew of 20 Flight Attendants and 3 pilots checking into a hotel, I no longer have to panic and hope to god I get a smoking room
2-Smoking rooms just plain riek of every foul odor known to man
3- No more hanging my head out the window, shower caps over the smoke detectors, rolled wet towels under the door, Hiding with the curtains wrapped around me to conceal the smoke type maneuvers to sneak a cig (Us f/a's are quite the creative bunch!)
4- After I have had a smoking room for 18 days, when I would put my luggage in the closet on the plane with all the other f/a's, we would open it up after 15 hours and not only did the closet smell aweful, but everyone elses bags did too. (I became real popular for that one)
5-The non smoking rooms I have gotten have NEVER had burn holes in the sheets, pillows, and couches, NOR scorch marks on the dressers, desks, and countertops!
Safe travels!
So do you ever sneak a vape while in the air? I promise I won't tell anyone.

i just blew some vapor into my detector and "only"if you get real close,it will go off but only for two maybe 3 cycles, i guess particles from vapor are very different from the analog smoke.

what??
I just tried it ...and nothing.
Cannot make the buggers go off.
Then again the builder probably installed some third grade smoke detectors that probably would not go off if there was a forest fire next door.
I got up a ladder and blew vapor inside the smoke detector...i found a little hole and used that.
My daughter thought i was kissing the smoke detector....Grrrrr!!!

Careful with the smoke detectors, some are optically triggered, steam will make them go off. I would not directly exhale vapor into them, especially on a flight. Might be difficult to explain...
