Airport security and liquid in glass bottles
So this is going to be the first time I fly with an e cig...
I'm going to be flying out of Palm Springs into Phoenix and then to Dallas.... or something like that.
Will they let us bring glass bottles of the liquid on to the plane? I have the 30ml glass ones from totallywicked, and I wasn't sure if they would allow that to pass through security.
And also, does the glycerin in the liquid not set off any kind of detector?... I heard somewhere that glycerin is used in explosives... or something of that sort....
Thanks

With the way Airport Security is in the US no way I'd risk it. But I do know that you're allowed to bring liquid in small quantities in the UK so maybe try a 5ml bottle but personally if it was me I wouldn't risk it

Hey all, you will be fine, 30cc is about a fluid oz, you are allowed up to 3.4oz in a individual container. If you will read some of the reports here, no one has had any problems.
I routinely carry 2 10-15cc e-liquid in my clear 1 liter carry-on.
Here is the TSA guidelines. TSA | Transportation Security Administration | 3-1-1 on Air Travel

I carry 2 - 30ml bottles of juice in my carry-on. I go through airport security at least twice every week. There was never a question.
Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquids are not illegal. Airport Security does not care about them.

As far as being vape friendly, I don't know. Most airlines are banning e-cig use on aircraft. This means that you can have them on the aircraft, but they don't want you to use them.

You're confusing nitro glycerine (explosive)
with vegetable glycerine (in e-liquids and many other food-type products)
.
Girlfriend just went on a plane ride. I set her up with a 3ml bottle of liquid to tide her over. She didn't put it in her carry-on, but instead, just carried it in her pocket with no issues.
Either way, you are fine transporting the liquid because it is not illegal nor dangerous. Vaping it during your flights is a totally different story.

I guess I'm just scared to carry any liquids on me at all because I'm from a Pakistani background lol. It's bad enough I always get selected for those "random" checks, if they saw me carrying any liquid they're prbly point n say "TERRORIST" LOL

Don't worry about a thing crash. I'm on a terrorist watch list, and get secondary screening all the time. (and I'm white, fat & bald) I've been flying for over 40 years, and these idiots still can't figure it out. They're not concerned at all with my e-cigs.

That's a good thing to hear. Thanks for the info, at least I know that I won't find myself on the wrong end of a rubber glove in a room with Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS
And Jim, thanks for the heads up
