Default Emailed Airtran About E-cig Use

I fly Airtran very frequently and decided to email them to get their policy on e-cigs. I explained exactly what they were and how they were used. I specifically asked if I could take one on board and if I could use it in flight.....Below is their response:

"Due to the increased security measures, items allowed to be brought on board the aircraft have changed. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) website provides the most current information on security procedures, including packing instructions and information regarding the transport of special items. I have provided a link below to the TSA traveler's page with links to the prohibited and permitted items list:

Soooo.....They blew you off, and you don't have an intelligent answer. You'll never know now until you get on a flight with them.

    It won't be long....

I'll be discreet about it, but I'll report what happens after my next flight.

Your sister should watch herself. Southwest banned e-cig use aboard their flights a couple months ago.
