That might have been just shortly after the big "liquids on planes" scare (which happened while I was in mid-air over the Pacific Ocean). There was a period of confusion for a few months as the airlines tried to figure out a protocol for liquids. These days most of them are fine with carrying small amounts of liquid in your carry-on as long as it's carried in a transparent plastic bag.

Yes - the event I referred to was the alleged August 2006 plot to manufacture explosives onboard a series of aircraft, using chemicals disguised as shampoos, soft drinks etc - 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .

That's the reason why we have restrictions on carry-on liquids today - 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot security reaction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Like I said, I was in the air between Australia and the US when the plot was discovered/announced and then had to fly immediately from LA to London and then London to Italy. It was chaos at the time and it took the airlines a few months to figure out how to deal with legitimate and necessary liquids (medicines, baby formula etc.) These days, you can carry small amounts of liquids on board as long as they are carried in transparent plastic bags.

My wife and I just flew from Chicago to LA, then 12.5 hours from LA to Auckland, New Zealand. We both stealth vaped in the cabins (I don't think anyone else even noticed), in terminals, etc. - no problems at all, and it sure made for a more relaxed and comfortable journey.

No problems getting our e-cig units, juice bottles etc. though security, either.

I took my PV and 20ml of juice with me on my carry on over the weekend. No problems at all. I just put it with my wallet/shoes/keys/belt/etc going through screening. It's not bad at all. Dripping/stealth vaping on a plane works great too.

I just flew home Sunday from Ft Hood TX after being there for my son's home coming from Iraq after a year (YAY FOR HIM AND US!)

Anyhoo......he flew with his PV from Iraq, NO problems. I flew home, Jet Blue, again no problems. I packed my battery charger and batteries in a make up type bag in my carry on, juice in the quart zip lock bag, and PV right in my purse, all assembled. Not a peep from security or anyone else for that matter.

If you want a good laugh, my fiance isn't quite on the PV yet, but still smokes analogs. He was outside in the freezing 30 some degree weather getting a last "fix" while I sat inside, right next to a TSA agent and puffed away. I was fine, fiance was frozen....lol

On the plane I pulled out the PV and vaped away when I felt the need. I put the air vent on full blast, and when I exhaled downward the vapor just disappeared. My fiance kept giving me dirty looks and telling me to "put that away..." before I got caught...lol

After about 30 min my fiance gave in and asked if he could use my PV. We both happily vaped the rest of the trip with no troubles at all. Of course we didn't blow clouds up into the air, and if we saw a flight attendant heading towards us we just didn't take a draw, but all in all there were NO problems with gear or use.

I like to drip too, but I just pre-filled a couple of carts for travel. It was easier that way. Oh, and the whistle tip carts will draw more attention than the round tip carts. Those round ones on a solid black 510 look just like a pen. No problems at all.

    Gotta love my PV!

Read, some of the stickies. I stealth vape without any problems. Carry-on is also a moot issue.
