I have been poring over this section for 2 days because I'm heading to FL in 2 weeks and I'm horribly nervous about getting my ecig stuff through TSA. (I know, I'm being ridiculous!) I have a Vapor King which means it's the battery + cartomizer. Should I just put all my batts and cartos in my carry-on bag along with my chargers, USB charger, camera, camera battery charger, and PCC? Or should I be putting some of this in my checked baggage? The liquids I'm not worried about. It's getting the ecig stuff through without being hassled that I'm worried about and not being sure if I should be carrying it on or putting it in my checked baggage. Not sure if I'm bringing the passthrough yet or not.... Thanks for any help you can give me! |

I just traveled from West Palm to Boston and NJ airports. I had no troubles or even questions with my stash of titan 510 various atomizors, batteries, small bottles of nicotine etc. I vaped in all of the airports (modestly) I did not vape on any planes.

Nothing to worry about. Just pack them neatly. I carry my box mod, Protege, two 30ml bottles of juice, and chargers, with a load of spare parts through Security at least twice a week with no problems. Just got home from Milwaukee with no issues, and heading for LA Monday with no worries.

Jim - I'll be interested in your experience at LAX. Please post when you return.

I've been in & out of LAX at least 10 times in the past few months with no problems. Since I started vaping, I estimate that I've been though at least 100 airports with no issues at all. There are a few others here that travel as much as I do, and they haven't had a problem either. Monday night, I'll be posting from LA for a few days, then on to "who knows where".

(I know, I'm being ridiculous!)... > You're ridiculous? On a recent flight from NY to Orlando, I packed a couple of e-cigs and e-liquid in my checked luggage and carried my Vapre aboard with more e-liquid. Further, I contacted one of the vendors in the Orlando area just in case I had an e-pocalypse and needed stuff for an emergency pick-up. Worse than that, I carried the phone number of one of the ECF members who promised to hook me up with a loaner if all else failed! LOL It's so not an issue getting through security. In fact, I stealthily vaped on the Jet Blue flight. Good luck to you, but honestly you won't need it. |

It *can* be a nervous experience for a new traveler. Airport Security can be intimidating to some. Just keep in mind that e-cigs are not illegal, and the FAA has not banned them from any flights. The TSA Security people have no need to be concerned with any e-cig, and believe me, they don't care how many e-cigs you have.
