I rinse them a couple times in the sink under hot water, reverse-spin, and toss 'em in the sun in front of a fan to dry. If they don't work well in a day or two or three or whenever I remember I tossed 'em out there, then I use the other method mentioned here:

    the and method.

A salad spinner is only going to work if you can keep them on their side while spinning them. If you turn them upright in the spinner, then it's going to force the water into the wall of the cartomizer and then right back into the batting. That's like the stupid "I roll it in my hands because I've convinced myself there's some magical unicorn-driven force at work there" method that makes me want to punch someone in the throat with a "physics for dummies" book.

Show me where you see the word "sealed" anywhere other than your post.

Just because they're in a tupperware, doesn't mean that the lid is on and secured.

ANYWAY... I just tried another carto out of the batch we boiled the other day... and this one seems to be working fine. Filled it up with some Cowboy Menthol juice, gave it a 'Taryn spin', a few more drops to top it off and it's working like a charm.

Perhaps the first two I grabbed happened to be duds. I'm sure some will fail sooner or later, that's not a surprise to me, as some of you are suggesting it may be.

Thanks to those of you who were helpful... the rest, meh.

Just a cautionary note to those of you using rice to absorb the moisture:

About a month or so ago, there was a post in the general forum where someone had put their cartos in a bag with rice to speed up the drying. IIRC, they left them in there a few days too long & the rice started to form mold.

Thanks, for the note on that GrannyM. I', just going to stick to refilling the pre-filled ones. Once done with them, going to throw them away.

I put them in 'hot water' for a few minutes. Drain. Hot water again. Drain. (sometimes I give them 100 proof vodka soak to get rid of the flavors). Swish a couple of times while soaking. I only redo the soak if I see the water change color. Then I blast them with clean water and a turkey baster with the syringe removed. The little inner cap from the 808 fits perfectly on the end of the baster and helps hold a seal for the 'blast. I fill the syringe with clean water and then keep pumping until I don't see any more water. They seem to dry overnight.
