I've been vaping for 2 days and I refilled one of my carts, but I don't think it was completely dried up when I refilled it.

Slightly complicated. If you start getting less vapor that may be an indication. If the flavor starts to get a little off that's another. If it tastes burned you could have a problem. I just make sure it doesn't dry out and refill whenever.
If you carefully dripped 8 drops or so, (or less), and it's running out the other end you may have had a lot left. Not an easy answer but time will teach.
It does not hurt to put liquid in before the cart is dry. I can tell by looking at a cart if it needs liquid or has too much. I fill until the liquid does not readily absorb in to the material. If you do put too much liquid you can blow it out.
Being new to VaporKing-land myself, this is a very timely question. Been wondering the same thing myself today. Still seem to be getting decent vapor and good flavor out of a cart I've been using quite a bit. I would simply just top it up tonight but have a friend who is anxious to know what kind of 'cart life' I will get. So ... guess I'll just keep vaping until the change is noticeable.
No I have x-ray vision. I meant after I take the end cap off. Sorry for the confusion
